How about Captain Insane-O
They lost to Oakland because they thought more of themselves than they should have.
They still need another legit WR to help take the pressure off Johnson and Daniels. Slaton is a handful and was their best draft pick for the pick (3rd round, >1000 yds as a rookie).....can you say "thanks God the Texans DIDN'T draft Reggie Bush?"
They drafted a DE to help free up Mario but still need some LB's as well as both FS and SS. They won't make the playoffs this year, but that is due more to their conference than anything else. In the AFC West, they're the second best team.
Because I would probably be inclined to agree with the people that make a career out of studying tape and deciding who is or is not an NFL QB. Now, do people make mistakes? Yeah. But most of the time the problem is that they draft a rookie QB who has no offensive line and they start them early. The guys who get to sit while a team is built for them succeed more often than not.
Mayweather only fights sluggers and over the hill bums. He ran from Oscar cause he was scared of his power, he beat Hatton because Hatton is a straight ahead slugger with NO DEFENSE.
Manny would kill Mayweather. KO by round 9, because he could actually chase Mayweather down and force him to fight. Mayweather doesn't have the power to KO Manny and everyone knows it.....including Floyd!
And 50, it could be a worse. You could be the Cowboys and have everybody think you're great because of your talent, only to blow up year end and year out.....just saying.
Positives: Good height to see the field. Very poised and composed. Smart and alert. Can read coverages. Good accuracy and touch. Produces in big spots and in big games. Has some Brian Griese in him and is a gamer. Generally plays within himself. Team leader.
Negatives: Poor build. Very skinny and narrow. Ended the ???99 season weighing 195 pounds and still looks like a rail at 211. Looks a little frail and lacks great physical stature and strength. Can get pushed down more easily than you???d like. Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush. Lacks a really strong arm. Can???t drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral. System-type player who can get exposed if he must ad-lib and do things on his own.
That was the scouting report for Tom Brady.
All I'm saying is, until you give someone a chance, you don't know what they can or cannot do.
Mike Vick is 6' tall and weighed in at 205lbs in his first start. White will be a minimum of 200lbs on opening day, and he won't have to start for 2-3 years. That is plenty of time to add a little more weight and learn a system. Don't say, yeah well White is no Brady, because until Drew the statue got hurt, Brady wasn't Brady. The point is, until he was given a chance, nobody knew what he could do. Give White a fair shake and if he fails as a QB, make him a receiver.
Just saying.
Drew Brees is only 6'
Pat White is presently 6' and 193 (at the combine, I believe that was his height/weight).
He'll be atleast 200lbs before the season starts. He won't be the starter this year. So, if he is at the same height/weight as Mike Vick, he is a more accurate passer than Vick (by college numbers, obviously no NFL stats yet for White) then WHY won't he be a starter?
Just Kidding. Boldin's price is to high and nobody will meet that. The best they can hope for is probably a #1 this year and a lower round pick this year or next. The Niners could use him but I don't see him staying within the division. The Giants, Titans, Bucs, Dolphins, Texans and Browns could all take a legitimate shot with some type of package for the Cards to consider.
This was my post referred to by the dumb guy, or is it Who Says I'm dumb?
Anyways, he thought I said Cutler to Cleveland for San Frans #43 and Smith. How he got that I don't know. Especially since that would mean that San Fran paid for Clevelands trade. Anyways. I think that a #1, #2 and Smith for Cutler is the best deal that Denver would see. Denver could draft Sanchez with #5, and still have 3 picks in the first 2 rounds in which to improve on defense.
"Here's the church, here's the steeple, open it up and see all the people"
As for the Niners, Cutler makes the most sense. Smith dropped his salary and that gives you a decent back up, trade for Cutler, then trade Shaun Hill to a team that needs a good backup (Pats?) and continue to develop a core of young talent around what I hope will be a good head coach.
In regards to Sweed.....look, T.O. drops easy passes. We need to give Sweed the chance to learn the offense and develop a little. He made some great clutch catches at Texas and with some work can develop into the threat that the Steelers envisioned when they drafted him. His size presents mismatched in the redzone and that is a plus. We NEED him to develop.
