And that seems to be the problem as of late. Kobe chasing records before thinking of his team. He has to let it happen naturally, but instead, he's forcing the issue, which makes him shoot 10-27 and at the same time, drags down his team.
I don't know the possibility to sign both Gilbert and Kenyon. I know the Lakers have shown interest in Gilbert, but from what I understand, if the Lakers can get Ramon Sessions from Cleveland at a good deal, the Lakers would rather pull that trade rather than sign Arenas. Now with Kenyon Martin, yes, he has shown interest to New York, Miami, and both Los Angeles teams. Now, Miami is close to signing Pryzbilla, unless he decides to choose the Chicago Bulls. If Pryzbilla does sign with Miami however, Martin will be out of the equation to join the Miami Heat. I really don't think Martin will go to New York, which leaves his two choices to either the Lakers or the Clippers. Both teams can use Martin very well within their rotation, but it will all come down to who Martin feels is the best fit.
LOL! I lost interest after reading the article. But since it had the most comments, felt I had to jump in. But yea, after 1300 comments or so, I'm sure guys weren't talking about The Posse going after D'Antonie.
Well, from what I understand, Kenyon Martin made a phone call to the Lakers organization showing interest. So, we'll have to wait and see. As far as Miami goes, I think they are going to sign Pryzbilla. His two choices has came down to Chicago and Miami. Personally, I would go with Chicago, but heck...that's me.
Well, lets wait and see what takes place. I think at this point of time, we need to sign Kenyon Martin. He is suppose to make his decision by this weekend. I understand that he is weighing heavily on the Clippers, but who knows. The way I see it, if I'm given an opportunity to dawn a Lakers jersey once in my career, I'm taking it.
Now off topic, who in God's name is responsible for placing the top five NBA stories of the day on this site? I'm just in disbelief on the amount of garbage they choose to post, when there have got to be more important topics to discuss. Also, what's the average post per week is aimed towards the New York Knicks? No disrespect to Knicks fans, but the poster on this site must be a fan or is from the city of New York.
Agreed! Also, in addition to Sessions, I would like to see them sign Kenyon Martin. I think he would fit within the rotation of Gasol/Howard or Gasol/Bynum. He will bring toughness and a nice mid range shot to the team. Also, defense isn't so bad.
Yes it does, and that would be understandable if Howard wouldn't sign an extension with the Lakers. However, if Howard doesn't guarantee a contract extension with the trade, the Lakers won't make a trade for him. But again, I do see where Howard is coming from wanting to play with Gasol and Kobe. In regards to the PG, I hope the Lakers can make that trade for Ramon Sessions.
Well, fortunately for you, Jordan is playing tonight. The Clippers bench is an issue, and will show in the playoffs. Now, if they do pick up Kenyon Martin, that's a different story.
The whole problem here is the Hedu contract. Orlando wants to offload it, however, the Lakers don't want to take it. Not because he wouldn't be a nice fill in on the roster, but if such a trade were to happen, the Lakers would need to cut a little over 10M, which means adding another two players to the deal, like an Artest/Blake combo, which in return, Orlando doesn't want to take in Artest's contract. Also, now that Howard isn't guarantying an extension, this whole idea of him being traded to the Lakers, or to anybody for that matter is probably moot.
Andrew also has a variety of inside post moves that would make other teams nervous, opening up your shooters more. I agree, Bynum would fit well in your system.
I agree with you, and I'm not really sold on Lopez at all. Yea, he's a decent center, but for that, I would rather not trade Howard, let the guy walk at the end of the year, and use that money to sign other talent. Orlando is a beautiful city and though it's not considered a big market, I'm sure NBA players would be attracted to play there.
In regards to Andrew Bynum, if he can remain uninjured, I think he would fit nicely with your ball club. I have a good feeling that his injuries are in the past and he'll move on to have a nice career. But again, if Howard is being Wishy Washy, then that's a damn shame.
So your saying, trade Luke Walton + two draft picks (Dallas/Lakers) for Jamison/Sessions?
I don't think the Lakers have any interest in Jamison. I don't know Jamison's contract information, but unless it's a last year contract, I don't think the Lakers want to take in a contract of an aging Jamison. I would be happy with just Sessions for a draft pick and Darius Morris.
Well, goodbye for the chances of Howard becoming a Los Angeles Laker. There is always the option of going after Deron Williams. I'm just sorta shocked that Howard would make such a statement towards a team he had interest in.
If Howard cannot guarantee an extension with the Lakers, or in that matter, any other team that he has put on his list, they will not trade for him. I'm sure if a trade is to happen, an extension will be in part of the deal.
