It's all business, that's all MLB is, it's not the National Past Time, that's little league, not the pros. The Pros aren't men playing a game, they're men getting paid stupid money to do something that many of us wish we could still do. It's just rich people investing in the advertising and promotional items revenue. That's all MLB is, a check.

Sorry to double post that long one.

Old team, 5 new players, two of them starters, 2 weeks and two preseason games: Does anyone really expect more at this point? They have to build stamina and trust in each other. As Carlisle said; Carter and Odom don't know the system yet so you have to wait for them to get it, and that means timing and spacing, not to mention knowing what to expect from teammates as a play develops. This team is old but its deep, and talented and with Ian (Yan) Mahinmi's wide base, the possibility of Seam Williams stepping in with his wide base and length along with D'lante West and Roddy B's speed and agility, they all have the energy to push the older guys to the next level while the old guys push them to excel. You can't build a dynasty with the same parts year after year by replacing the old with new shiny pieces. This team is getting its legs right now and learning who will drop to the corner, and who will slide the baseline or dive down into the post or who can catch the ball for the ally oop. This team showed in the win against OKC that they aren't done. Maybe OKC showed they aren't so great to the Blazers, but I doubt that. Dirk has his shots falling like normal, Kidd's shots are coming up short but he's leading, and their passing up until the OKC game Monday night was woefuller. But Monday night they found their spacing, their ball movement improved greatly and Carter and Odom began to find their way. Coach Carlisle said he gave them each chances multiple calls with the ball to create and run plays for themselves, allowing them to build confidence. The ultimate key to this Mavericks team's season is confidence. You posers who comment on their deficiencies right now, are going to find that the Mavs may be one of two or three teams with 50 wins in a 66 game season. They might not win back to back titles, but look at what this old team did to the young, seemingly unstoppable, and unbeaten OKC Thunder Monday night. If that was an old, beat up, useless team, then I think those are admirable traits for a championship pedigree.

Posted Saturday January 01, 2011, About: Johnson calls snub bogus
He's just a whiny chump missing his bonus money. He says he thought he was a lock, that's probably why he didn't rush for 2K this season. Head up his arse with his ego...

The Rangers will pay enough and since Fort Worth is 5 hours from his family in Arkansas, he'll stay here...
Posted Friday September 10, 2010, About: Ryan: Rangers 'disappointed' in Lee
"Ryan: Rangers 'disappointed' in Lee" thats a really uncalled for headline and it isn't even true. he said he was ""We were disappointed he didn't make us aware of his back stiffness". Your headline is deceptive and lacking journalistic integrity. They aren't disappointed in him, but rather a decision he made. Cliff Lee has proven here he can pitch great, we just had dead bats against other great pitchers. Get Lee's back, and stop quoting the DMN, its a crap news paper, thats what I use it for, my dogs crap on it.
Posted Monday July 12, 2010, About: NBA pioneer: LeBron 'a genius'
First off, the Heat may not win anything so to say James put together a Championship team is just stupid so Chet King isn't so bright. Secondly, James failed in the playoffs and Bosh hasn't done anything, only Wade has a ring. I cant wait to see how the Heat pay for all of this, especial with a lock out coming, they might lose a season and if the salary cap comes down, how will they afford anything. I also think that as independent contractors not employees as the Rev Jackson stated in his ignorant and incendiary remarks, the three players colluded to lock out other teams and more over Dwayne Wade while under contract with the Heat met with James and Bosh about forming an alliance, does anyone think that Pat Riley didn't have any input on this thus violating the leagues tampering rules. C'mon, LeBron is no genius he's just a skilled basketball player who wants to win no matter what it takes even if it means being unethical... Whats wrong with that?
