Posted Tuesday September 23, 2008, About: Clemens heartbroken over Yankee Stadium snub
This is what happens when you refuse, at all costs, to take ownership of your own actions. I, for one, am not crying for you, Roger.
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Why Astros agreed to Milwaukee venue
Not only did the Astros agree to this deal, but they got a grand total of 1 hit in those 18 innings. The Astros absolutely stink, and they absolutely stunk in those two games. Blaming it on the stadium/crowd/city is comical.
Posted Sunday September 21, 2008, About: USC not leaving Pac 10
The argument that the best college team even has a prayer of beating an NFL team is easily the most ridiculous argument in sports. USC, even without a salary cap, would get pasted by last year's Dolphins.
Posted Sunday July 13, 2008, About: SMU AD not going to Notre Dame
"wow Notre Dame, it seems that nobody wants to deal with the over the top expectation and pushy alum that come with the Notre Dame job, who can blame them" --LSUrocks

Guess I missed the report that said ND even offered him...
Posted Friday June 13, 2008, About: Cubs interested in Podsednik
Pods was an indispensable part of that White Sox championship. They got rid of him because he couldn't stay healthy. He would be a nice addition to the Cubs as long as he could stay healthy. But I don't see this move happening no matter what. They'll count on Edmonds and R. Johnson to continue what they're doing.

If the Cubs really want to go for it all, they need to make a big-time play to pry Ichiro from Seattle.
Posted Sunday June 08, 2008, About: Will Bears replace busted Benson?
The Bears should finally start playing Adrian Peterson. All that guy does is gain yards when he's in the game, but it's clear the management there doesn't like him. He's been third-string behind some horribly underachieving players over the years.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Why Notre Dame AD left for Duke
Hey arejaydub... Did you have a point with that rambling? ND football just took a step forward with Kevin White leaving.

And completely ignorant people like you talk about Tee Willie getting a "raw deal," yet you're only able to come to these boards and rejoice about ND's recent failures BECAUSE of Willingham. By now, anybody with a brain knows that it was the absolute recruiting incompetence leading up to Willingham's firing that left ND football in a lurch last year. Weis led those players to three wins last year; Ty wouldn't have won one.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Collins thinks he has Bulls job
I'm not a huge Doug Collins fan in this situation, but why would Flip Saunders be any better? The Pistons went to the Conf. Finals by default these past two years.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Why Notre Dame AD left for Duke
They might as well have started holding White accountable for the decisions that weren't his because he WASN'T being held accountable for the terrible decisions that WERE his.

You won't find a true ND fan out there who's going to be crying over this move. White belongs at a place like Duke, where they already participate in a conference and where he can bring some major sports (in this case, football and probably baseball) to prominence. Notre Dame is a different animal, and he had lost touch with the unique aspects of that program that make Notre Dame what it is. I'm sure he'll do a fine job at Duke, but he was no longer effective at ND.
Posted Saturday May 31, 2008, About: Mystery coach on Bulls radar
Naboo, you have no idea what you're talking about. Name one coach who has turned down "Paxton" and the Bulls since they got the #1 pick...
Posted Saturday May 31, 2008, About: Rose: Beasley's better than me
Thank god for a little humility. Paxson's got to get this kid.
Posted Friday May 30, 2008, About: Why Bulls selected Collins
There hasn't been an official announcement because neither Nick Saban nor Bobby Petrino have publicly withdrawn their names from consideration yet.
Posted Monday May 26, 2008, About: Quinn readies for job he may not get
I love that Quinn is getting some time on the bench first. He is going to be a serious weapon whenever they need him.
Posted Saturday May 10, 2008, About: Hoosiers land top in-state recruit
As good a coach, and as nice a guy, that Bruce Weber is, this will absolutely be his last year at Illinois. You cannot consistently lose your own Illinois talent and expect to keep your job. Weber is done at IL.
Posted Saturday May 03, 2008, About: SMU signs highly rated PG
Good for Matt Doherty. He's a class act and a great guy. I hope he wins down there.
Posted Saturday May 03, 2008, About: D'Antoni on Bulls radar if...
The Bulls messed up by counting on Deng and Gordon to become stars, not by letting Chandler go. By all accounts, they had a realistic chance at getting Pau Gasol, and they should have done it. D'Antoni would be a nice hire for this team, but I want them to get Avery Johnson.
Posted Wednesday April 30, 2008, About: Hansbrough transfers to Irish
This kid will NEVER regret this move. He could transfer to ND without a basketball scholarship in hand, and he'd never regret the move.
Posted Monday April 21, 2008, About: Why Jays dumped Big Hurt
As a White Sox fan, I can say that I loved watching Frank hit. He had an amazing career, and seemed like a straight-up guy most of the time... BUT he always found something to cry about. He didn't think it would be appropriate to end his career on the bench, but he couldn't ask for a more appropriate ending than to go out crying about something.

Posted Sunday April 20, 2008, About: Weis: QB duel hurt Notre Dame
Michigan's a lot more likely to have a year that resembles ND's from last year than ND is to have back-to-back horrible years. ND's main problem last year was inexperience and lack of depth at virtually every offensive position-- QB, RB, OL, WR etc. They played true freshmen across the board. This year, they'll have experience at all of those positions. Michigan will face inexperience and lack of depth at all of those positions this year.

I'm not saying that ND will be amazing or that Michigan will suck, but it doesn't make much sense to believe that ND is going to have another year like they did last year, especially now that they have experience on offense and Tenuta is around to shore up the defense.

BC lost of ton of talent; Stanford's a joke; and Washington has one of the worst coaches in the country. I'd be shocked if they don't win at LEAST 6.

Brennaman's a stooge. Glad that whiner's getting paid to air his dirty laundry on the radio.
