This Tebow worship is beyond disgusting.
The only consolation White Sox fans will have-- once the Sox either finish out of the playoffs or win the horrible AL Central and then get swept out of the first round-- is that all of the young "talent" that Williams trades away won't pan out for Houston because he can't draft either.
P.S. It's a joke that they're in this situation. There is no more overrated executive in sports than Kenny Williams.
But I agree that she'll probably get a reality show out of it, too...
The only difference between murderers and those who commit animal cruelty in San Francisco is that people out there think murderers deserve a second chance. He will NOT be embraced in SF-- it's hilarious to even hear "Vick" and "San Francisco" in the same sentence. He MIGHT fit in across the bay in Oakland, but probably only if he kills somebody first.
For the record, I don't think Michigan's "ship is sinking" at all-- this happens at virtually every big-time program after a major coaching change like this. I just love how everybody tried to insist that ND's ship was sinking when this same thing was happening.
Guess I missed the report that said ND even offered him...
If the Cubs really want to go for it all, they need to make a big-time play to pry Ichiro from Seattle.
And completely ignorant people like you talk about Tee Willie getting a "raw deal," yet you're only able to come to these boards and rejoice about ND's recent failures BECAUSE of Willingham. By now, anybody with a brain knows that it was the absolute recruiting incompetence leading up to Willingham's firing that left ND football in a lurch last year. Weis led those players to three wins last year; Ty wouldn't have won one.
You won't find a true ND fan out there who's going to be crying over this move. White belongs at a place like Duke, where they already participate in a conference and where he can bring some major sports (in this case, football and probably baseball) to prominence. Notre Dame is a different animal, and he had lost touch with the unique aspects of that program that make Notre Dame what it is. I'm sure he'll do a fine job at Duke, but he was no longer effective at ND.
