Posted Tuesday September 29, 2009, About: Kentucky DE who hit Tebow 'sorry'
I assume you can add Florida's O-line to the list of people (Wyndham, Spurrier) who have had to apologize to Lord Tebow this year as well; they're the ones who didn't block the guy after all.

This Tebow worship is beyond disgusting.
Posted Monday June 22, 2009, About: Red Wings, Chelios to discuss future
Whether he plays one more year or not, Chelios WILL be an executive/ambassador with the Blackhawks the following year. Take it to the bank.
Posted Sunday May 31, 2009, About: Oswalt looking for new team?
Kenny Williams will give up everything the White Sox have to get this guy in a desperate attempt to make the team semi-relevant after doing absolutely nothing this offseason to fix obvious holes, such as CF, middle-IF, starting pitching and overall depth. He will then proceed to bask in the endless splendor of undeserved praise that the media will insist on heaping onto him for being an "aggressive" and "risk-taking" GM that "every fan should wish its team had."

The only consolation White Sox fans will have-- once the Sox either finish out of the playoffs or win the horrible AL Central and then get swept out of the first round-- is that all of the young "talent" that Williams trades away won't pan out for Houston because he can't draft either.
Posted Tuesday April 14, 2009, About: Packers looking at Paulus
And THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is Exhibit A for why Chicago is so excited about the Jay Cutler signing. Thank God Bears fans don't have to swallow the idea that this guy might actually be worth signing...
Posted Saturday March 28, 2009, About: Ozzie: White Sox don't need Cabrera
I just can't see the value in a statement like this. I understand wanting to support the guys you have there, but how about at least saying that you're open to whatever options are going to help the team the most? It's downright stupid to say, "We're in trouble," which is essentially what he's saying. Then again, nobody's mistaking Ozzie for Albert Einstein, I guess.

P.S. It's a joke that they're in this situation. There is no more overrated executive in sports than Kenny Williams.
Posted Tuesday February 03, 2009, About: Family claims Hayes' 'sister' is a fraud
For falsifying legal documents like a will? Plenty. This isn't just giving a speech at the HOF or putting on a Cal hat at a phony press conference at your high school.

But I agree that she'll probably get a reality show out of it, too...
Posted Tuesday February 03, 2009, About: Too much talent hurting USC's recruiting?
Guess that's what happens when you play without a salary cap.
Posted Friday January 30, 2009, About: Willingham returning to Stanford?
Yep... Saw this coming a MILE away. The guy simply cannot coach big-time football.
Posted Monday January 26, 2009, About: Source: Cowher not coming to Chiefs
Nothing like coming to FN everyday to read the SAME PEOPLE complaining about how these rumors are unsubstantiated. Folks, if these rumors were substantiated, they'd be news; you come here for rumors. Why on Earth do you have to come here everyday and complain that you can't take the rumors as fact?

Posted Saturday January 24, 2009, About: Are Niners eyeing Michael Vick?
Michael Vick might get another shot in the NFL, but I know two places where it WON'T be: Atlanta and San Francisco.

The only difference between murderers and those who commit animal cruelty in San Francisco is that people out there think murderers deserve a second chance. He will NOT be embraced in SF-- it's hilarious to even hear "Vick" and "San Francisco" in the same sentence. He MIGHT fit in across the bay in Oakland, but probably only if he kills somebody first.
Posted Sunday December 14, 2008, About: More Wolverines to transfer
I know for a fact that all of you folks who are now saying that Michigan's ship isn't sinking were the ones saying that Notre Dame's was because of the transfers. ND is, of course, having its issues because of bad coaching, but I love the double-standard with the transferring players. Very predictable.

For the record, I don't think Michigan's "ship is sinking" at all-- this happens at virtually every big-time program after a major coaching change like this. I just love how everybody tried to insist that ND's ship was sinking when this same thing was happening.
Posted Tuesday September 23, 2008, About: Clemens heartbroken over Yankee Stadium snub
This is what happens when you refuse, at all costs, to take ownership of your own actions. I, for one, am not crying for you, Roger.
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Why Astros agreed to Milwaukee venue
Not only did the Astros agree to this deal, but they got a grand total of 1 hit in those 18 innings. The Astros absolutely stink, and they absolutely stunk in those two games. Blaming it on the stadium/crowd/city is comical.
Posted Sunday September 21, 2008, About: USC not leaving Pac 10
The argument that the best college team even has a prayer of beating an NFL team is easily the most ridiculous argument in sports. USC, even without a salary cap, would get pasted by last year's Dolphins.
Posted Sunday July 13, 2008, About: SMU AD not going to Notre Dame
"wow Notre Dame, it seems that nobody wants to deal with the over the top expectation and pushy alum that come with the Notre Dame job, who can blame them" --LSUrocks

Guess I missed the report that said ND even offered him...
Posted Friday June 13, 2008, About: Cubs interested in Podsednik
Pods was an indispensable part of that White Sox championship. They got rid of him because he couldn't stay healthy. He would be a nice addition to the Cubs as long as he could stay healthy. But I don't see this move happening no matter what. They'll count on Edmonds and R. Johnson to continue what they're doing.

If the Cubs really want to go for it all, they need to make a big-time play to pry Ichiro from Seattle.
Posted Sunday June 08, 2008, About: Will Bears replace busted Benson?
The Bears should finally start playing Adrian Peterson. All that guy does is gain yards when he's in the game, but it's clear the management there doesn't like him. He's been third-string behind some horribly underachieving players over the years.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Why Notre Dame AD left for Duke
Hey arejaydub... Did you have a point with that rambling? ND football just took a step forward with Kevin White leaving.

And completely ignorant people like you talk about Tee Willie getting a "raw deal," yet you're only able to come to these boards and rejoice about ND's recent failures BECAUSE of Willingham. By now, anybody with a brain knows that it was the absolute recruiting incompetence leading up to Willingham's firing that left ND football in a lurch last year. Weis led those players to three wins last year; Ty wouldn't have won one.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Collins thinks he has Bulls job
I'm not a huge Doug Collins fan in this situation, but why would Flip Saunders be any better? The Pistons went to the Conf. Finals by default these past two years.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Why Notre Dame AD left for Duke
They might as well have started holding White accountable for the decisions that weren't his because he WASN'T being held accountable for the terrible decisions that WERE his.

You won't find a true ND fan out there who's going to be crying over this move. White belongs at a place like Duke, where they already participate in a conference and where he can bring some major sports (in this case, football and probably baseball) to prominence. Notre Dame is a different animal, and he had lost touch with the unique aspects of that program that make Notre Dame what it is. I'm sure he'll do a fine job at Duke, but he was no longer effective at ND.
