Wow, you know its a slow day when this is news....lol Three back surgeries? His contract will be jammed with incentives tied to performance and number of games played etc.
Posted Friday November 13, 2009, About: Inside Cuban pitcher's defection
Why is it always the Red Sox, Yankees or Mets who are "courting" these players? It would have been more interesting if someone other than these three teams were looking at this kid....
Posted Monday November 09, 2009, About: Navy loss a deal-breaker for Weis?
He should have been fired after they lost to Syracuse last year at home...seriously, We can't even defend our house anymore...no one fears having to go on the road to South Bend. We are 3-16 against teams with winning records since 2007...seriously, we're a national joke!!
Posted Tuesday November 03, 2009, About: American closer to Arsenal takeover?
It would be great to see Arsenal change ownership, but not under these circumstances or to a man like this....as stated above, he is not about winning or losing, he is more of a nickle and dimer when it comes to sports.
Posted Tuesday November 03, 2009, About: Carroll changing USC's scheme
Because they are both considered to be two of the best players in college football this year...do you even watch CFB?!?
Posted Tuesday November 03, 2009, About: Carroll changing USC's scheme
LMAO!! Should we live through Washington instead? USC should not even be ranked 12th after that performance last Saturday. You got beat on both sides of the ball, suck it up Sandy Pants and move on...
Posted Saturday October 31, 2009, About: Ex-girlfriend questions A-Rod's art
Who cares what this piece of **** does with his money...he cheated himself, the game and his teammates. I can't wait till he's gone...
Posted Friday October 30, 2009, About: Weis: Clausen to delay NFL talk
I'm a die hard ND fan but that drive won't do anything for us in the future if this is what you are implying. Just like when we lost after the Bush push and have gone on now to lose year after year to USC. Claussen is not ready for the NFL, nor do I believe he feels he is either. He'll do like Sam and Colt did, take huge insurance policies and play one more year to improve his position in the draft.

USC fielded what will be their weakest team that ND will face the next three years...I am not looking forward to next year traveling to Southern California if this is the best our defense can play. The fact that we were down 20 is an issue, valiant effort trying to come back but seriously how did the game get that out of hand? Under Charlie clock management has always been an issue and it never gets addressed; if we are to stand a chance against an elite team we must at least first be able to master the fundamental's of the game...like pass coverage and tackling! lol
Posted Thursday October 22, 2009, About: Is Jerry Jones strapped for cash?
He's not even close to being strapped for cash. Assets and liabilities and after the latest valuation of the Cowboys, he could borrow money by the bucket load. His payroll has only dropped roughly 15% based on the previous five years and his team is competitive, their selling out games and with the other events on the venue at Cowboys Stadium, he will likely turn a very nice profit this year. Not to mention, the Dallas Cowboys are run as a not for profit organization; Jerry is one of the smartest businessmen in the entire NFL and should the need arise, he could easily drop a ton of cash on free agents at the end of the season.
Posted Wednesday October 21, 2009, About: Who's really running Patriots?
If they win its because Favre didn't blow it and if they lose its because Favre threw a pick. The guy has been perfect this year and all anyone can say is that its all because of AP. AP has had two 100 yard rushing games...were they 6-0 last year when he running for 100+ a game? A solid running back doesn't get you a Superbowl, just ask Barry Sanders. The only thing that changed this off season in MN is that they got a QB who knows the game, can read defenses and call an audible that actually works. The defense on Sunday almost blew the game, the offense kept them in it. Everyone is just waiting for one bad game and then all the people who hate a guy, who has 17 years in the toughest sport you can play, will be ripped apart piece by piece. It rather pathetic...outside of Sterling Sharpe who was a great receiver, has Favre even had a first ballot hall of fame receiver to throw to? Yet his teams still find a way to win...if you believe what people write, in spite of him.
Posted Wednesday October 21, 2009, About: Manny showers while Dodgers lose
He's paid to hit the ball...who cares if he's done his job for the night and hits the showers? Did it affect the outcome of the game, no. Maybe he just figured they had the game wrapped up and that his teammates had everything in hand. Its not his fault they lost the game....

Look at it this way, is anyone talking about the pitching or the reason they blew the game...no, they are all talking about a guy who hit the showers when they had the lead in the 9th. Would this even be a story if they won?
Posted Saturday October 03, 2009, About: Who's behind Jays clubhouse revolt?
Now, if we can just find another US team to suck up the 60 million dollars worth of dead weight we have floating around in center, we should be able to turn the page on JP.
Posted Tuesday September 29, 2009, About: New Cubs owner keeping Piniella?
Awesome, we get to see yet another year of failures on and off the field in Chicago....the Cubs needed Mark Cuban in Chicago, a real owner who isn't afraid to make changes and build that team into a perennial powerhouse. Instead they got a business owner who will be more interested in turning a profit every year, whether they make the playoffs or not.
Posted Tuesday September 29, 2009, About: Bills fan dumps popcorn on T.O.
Gotta love how TO is getting more press than the entire Bills org. these days. With the way the play calling has gone, coupled with last years failures and this years pre-season I cannot help but say its time for a new head coach. I highly doubt that if they had someone like Gruden or Cowher in Buffalo that the team would be struggling like this the last decade.
Posted Wednesday September 23, 2009, About: Giants LB rips new Cowboys Stadium
You're a visiting team, be happy you even got hot water. Its not about you being comfortable or enjoying the experience; I highly doubt the visiting locker room at any stadium was as nice as the one you were in on Sunday. I happen to like the stadium and it serves more than just a football purpose. Its about time that the US got a stadium that at least holds it own against some of the soccer stadiums all over Europe and is more than just a one sport stadium. Hundreds of millions of people will visit the stadium over the years attending various events and yet people complain of the cost...funny, no one is saying anything about Abromovich's 1.2 billion dollar personal yacht and that will see only a few hundred over the years if its lucky. I hand it to Jerry, he gave the public something and it seems like a very unselfish act.
Posted Monday September 21, 2009, About: Women's tour in down cycle?
This more then likely is largely attributed to the lack of US representation on the tour. Oudin was a great story, but still ranked 70th in the world going in and William's breakdown all but solidified the whole "privileged and entitled" arrogance some of these women bring with them to the court. Where else in professional sports could you have someone not win a single title over their entire career and yet still make tens off millions off the court?!?

The level of competition is declining in the woman's game, there are no real superstars like Federer, Nadal, Potro, Djokovic etc. on the men's side who bring a personality to the court and competitiveness to the game; there certainly is nothing even remotely interesting about the women who are on tour...apart from how they look and what they're wearing. Gone are the days of women playing a more strategic game, where serve and volley put you in contention every year at Wimbledon...now its all loud, obnoxious grunting and women pounding the baseline. We can see that on the men's side thank you....

Is anyone surprised by this....? I mean is this even news?
Posted Monday September 21, 2009, About: Pennington's starting job in danger?
The Fish aren't going anywhere this season and no one, other than Fish fan, has them even making the playoffs. They should do like Green Bay and move forward with their young QB and get him some meaningful snaps while the younger guys on the team mature with him, you'll start to see the team be more of a contender in 2-4 years than it ever will be with Pennington under center this year or next.

If you don't see the Fish making the playoffs or even if they do, getting out of the first round, you have got to get Henne in there and start building around him.
Posted Sunday September 20, 2009, About: Are Crabtree's enablers hurting him?
How awesome would it be though to see Crabtree on the sidelines in tears after getting ripped by Singletary in-front of a national televised audience...like Stewart was in Pittsburgh after getting both barrels by Cowher. lol

Crabtree looks like a baby...will get rocked like one too when he hits the field too. He needs to grow up and be his own man.
Posted Friday September 18, 2009, About: Did Wolverine throw punch at Irish?
Guess you're the one who is out of luck with him having been suspended by the Big 10. Funny how the league doesn't seem to agree with you or your fans either. The simple truth is, what happens in the pile is not the same as taking a cheap shot right out in the open, in front of a national audience no less...its called being stupid. If the coach, the team or AD at Michigan doesn't see it that way, the league sure did and took action. How much do you want to bet if the coach had said that something would be done, he'd be playing Saturday. Your coach just cost you your best defensive player for one game...nice work.
Posted Thursday September 17, 2009, About: Did Wolverine throw punch at Irish?
I lost what little respect I had for Rodriguez when he basically said that if there was an infraction, the refs would have called it. I mean given the 15 yard penalty ND got for their 5 second end zone celebration, one can assume that the refs were not exactly watching the same game we all were. There is video on it, his player took a swing at another player and its up to the coach and the team to set the standard here. I highly doubt 95% of the coaches in the NCAA would let that go after the video started to circulate...
