I'd still take Woodsen over D'Antoni.. I mean, let's be real. Knicks made the playoffs, for the first time in forever. The Knicks finally won a playoff game in thirteen tries, shorthanded against one of the top three teams in the league today- under Mike Woodsen. And you think he's a bad coach because he put the most talented players on his roster in the starting lineup to give the team the best chance of winning? This is a guy that got an overrated Joe Johnson led team to the four-five spot in Atlanta, I think Woodsen is the man for the job in NY.

Just go to Chicago if you want to mentor a kid and be in the running for 'ship Mr. Nash....

I couldn't agree more.. It shouldn't even be a question.
Posted Tuesday March 06, 2012, About: D'Antoni deflecting heat on Lin
I like Lin as a motivational piece for the Knicks. That said... I think it's about time D'Antoni embraced reality with Lin. He's not a first string pg. Again, I LIKE LIN (I was critical to start, but I've warmed up to the kid). To me, it isn't the number of turnovers, it's the type of turnovers. Rondo was able to take Lin out of the game defensively forcing him into traps on his penetration leaving him no outlet for passes, or good shots. He also rode him on hip (the same way Chalmers did when Miami played Lin). Any top team in the league is going to make adjustments for the things Lin likes to do. The playoffs are supposed to have all the top teams. I see a an issue with Lin starting at pg in playoffs. Yes, he's decent late. He definately has his moments where he can bring a team back. But against Boston, I saw Davis and Smith put NY in the lead. I had rather be the team on top late in games, than constantly having to come up with big plays to come back and win games. That's asking too much of a young pg. The offense is better bc the knicks are finally getting guys back, and playing together. Lin is a catalyst, but let him be the sixth man in the playoffs.
Posted Wednesday February 29, 2012, About: Roy: 'Good chance' of a comeback
What about the guy who never really got started? He's looking at the same success stories like Ron Harper, Bernard King, even C-Webb or to an extent Kenyon Martin. And I like that you said it's different for different players, but who or what steps in to tell Greg Oden that it may not be in the cards for him?
Posted Wednesday February 29, 2012, About: Roy: 'Good chance' of a comeback
I don't LIKE watching t-mac, and in this case Roy would be no different. I guess my point is, when does the athlete realize there're more to his/her own life than sport?
Posted Wednesday February 29, 2012, About: Jimmer's struggles continue with Kings
Wesley Johnson was a stud at Syracuse, same as Jimmer at BYU, they're both struggling as their game doesn't fit the systems they were drafted into... But when does a player make the decision to just play? The great thing about Lin, is that he's been afforded the chance to play in three different pro systems to finally succeed in NY.... Jimmer may not get that chance until later on, a la JJ Reddick.
Posted Wednesday February 29, 2012, About: Roy: 'Good chance' of a comeback
But is Roy thinking about later part of his life? I mean, maybe it's not in his plan to finish his career as a player... What about kids (not sure if he has any)? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to physically perform the moves that made him an all star player to his son? I want to see him play, but I don't particularly enjoy watching t-mac today in comparison to t-mac from a few years back going head to head with Kobe for best player in the league.

I would say physical inability to play defense versus philosophical ignorance.

And Luke Walton has more rings than Lebron, Wade, Durant, Melo and CP3 combined. Doesn't mean Luke is better, just lucky... same should be said for SVG.

Name a smarter PG outside of CP3 and DWill that's won just about everywhere he's played?

Did Bird's comment come before or after Perkins response to Lebron?
Posted Thursday February 09, 2012, About: Wizards fans finally cheering ... for the opponent
Slow down there partner... Lin needs to play against some better teams. The win in NJ was good for his confidence, but no one knows his game yet. Washington could get beat by almost any good prep school and Devin Harris doesn't exactly exude defense as part of his game. The Lakers are going to struggle with containing him too as they have PG trouble... Let's see how he plays against Minnesota and Toronto. Rubio and Bayless will be good matchups for him.. Good wins for NY tho- they need them!
Posted Thursday February 09, 2012, About: Williams threatens to derail Clippers fairy tale
Uncharacteristic or not.. he plays behind two of the top five PG's in the NBA. Recognize the oppurtunity to learn and get better and contribute when your number is called.

That didn't exactly work last night against Milwaukee.....

You know, as athletic as Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are, they were manhandled by Milsap and Jefferson last night!
Posted Thursday February 02, 2012, About: Riley recruiting Przybilla and K-Mart
Can Miami afford both?

Pryzbilla makes the most sense for Miami. I don't know if I like having three hot heads on the lakers with Barnes and World Peace already there... NYK, Orlando or Clippers could benefit most from Kenyon.
Posted Thursday February 02, 2012, About: Doc: Rondo's return imminent
I like the way Allen and Pierce have been sharing and creating running the offense... Rondo sitting a while longer doesn't seem like it'll hurt C's right now.

No, just CP3 off the Lakers. Marbury and Iverson killed their own careers.
