Hence the "takes a little more than that". I think Ron Washington is a horrible manager! He's like a puppet for Jon Daniels. Tell the media and fans what they want to hear. I totally agree with what your saying, don't worry. Different area of sports, but take College Football for instance. There are teams that have so much depth, that a redshirt freshman could start at another school all 4 years. Thats my thinking what the Rangers see in the Red Sox. But then again, we hear how much depth our farm system has. WE DON'T CARE ABOUT OUR FARM SYSTEM ANYMORE!!! We have heard about it for the last 5 years. Where are these kids now? Oh wait, JD trades them for busted down players (excluding Volquez for Hamilton.. he gets a high five for that one).

Attention All Red Sox Fans!! This won't happen. Jon Daniels is too scared to pull the trigger. Do you really think Josh Beckett would be a Red Sox had JD pulled the trigger for the Beckett for Blalock deal? No! 15 minutes later, Florida calls Boston and BAM! JD couldn't close the deal! Same time, is Bucholz worth it. Gabbard is so-so and he was a Red Sox.

Side note, just b/c Boston is in the playoffs every year, doesn't mean we (Rangers) can pick players off their scrap list and we are now the Red Sox in the South!! Takes a little more than that.

As a Rangers fan, we are open to any pitcher that wants to come pitch for us! Like Millwood says "the other pitcher has to pitch in this ballpark also that night".

Doesn't matter, Jon Daniels will trade our #1 pitcher prospect for an injury prone pitcher that will pitch in only 28 games in the last two years... 5 this year alone!
