Posted Saturday March 29, 2008, About: Clausen back as Irish starter?
Why wouldn't they start Claussen. They don't have anyone else who is as talented (even though he was awful last year). He should play and at least get some experience although the team still won't be that good this year. Irishr#1, I think you need a reality check about the team. 1, just about any QB can put up numbers against Duke, AF and Stanford, and 2, the defense that ND has isn't really that good.
Posted Saturday March 29, 2008, About: Jays at stalemate with Rios
I would definitely wait. jpg is right, he wants to get to the point where he can really cash in on all of his potential. He should continue to improve his power numbers, meaning even if he has to wait another year or two, he should get a bigger payout for all of his talent. Plus, if he is traded he will finally get an opportunity to play on a good team, which most players are looking for.

Posted Saturday March 29, 2008, About: Cubs consider dealing outfielder
I think that the Braves would be wise to try and add Murton. He would give them a bat with decent power on the bench, and they could continue to work with him on playing first base. I don't know why the Cubs won't just let him start, but since they don't them should at least see if they can get someone for him.

Posted Saturday March 29, 2008, About: Is Blue Jays GM on hot seat?
he is playing in a really tough division, but his team is still expected to compete. If what he is doing isn't going to get them there with the payroll that they have, then they should try to someone who can try and turn them around despite the payroll deficit that they face from the Yankees and Red Sox.

Posted Saturday March 29, 2008, About: Loria makes peace with Girardi
Loria did the wrong thing by firing him, because Girardi was a good manager and knew how to handle his ballclub. It turned out fine for Girardi, as he is probably managing where he wants to most. Its good that they made friends, but it doesn't really mean anything.

Posted Saturday March 29, 2008, About: Journal: Best MLB manager is...
I can see why, being that he has always produced solid teams despite low payroll and stuff. That being said, I don't think he is the best, as I don't like the way that he handles his pitching staff all the time.
Posted Sunday March 23, 2008, About: Why Parcells will trade No. 1 pick
I'm sure he will if he can, but I don't see anyone giving up alot for the first pick because there is no clear number 1, and whoever gets the new first pick would have to shell out tons of cash to sign him.
Posted Sunday March 16, 2008, About: Rays considering outfielder trades
I think the Rays should go after an Angels OF, not sure which though. They have some power (Gomes, Pena, Wigginton and Upton) and some speed (Crawford, Upton and Bartlett) in the lineup already.
Posted Sunday March 16, 2008, About: Will Dodgers trade outfielder?
I think they will have to trade either Ethier or Kemp because noone is going to want Pierre with that big of a contract. I think they should keep Ethier on the bench in the beginning of the season, and possibly use him as a trade chip for a different position as they get closer to the break.
Posted Sunday March 16, 2008, About: WVU's White to pass more
Didn't they say something like this last year about how White was going to be a really good passer and throw the ball more often. The only problem is that White can't pass that well, so WVU should just stick to its spread offense and give the ball to Noel Devine, who has All-American potential.
Posted Sunday March 16, 2008, About: Why tourney won't expand field
There is no reason to expand the tournament. They already have 65 slots for teams to try and win the national championship. There are plenty of spots for teams to get in if they just play well in the regular season and the conference championship.
Posted Sunday March 16, 2008, About: Cowboys cooling on Pacman?
He would be a high risk, high reward player. I like the idea of him going to the Dolphins because they don't really have much to lose (maybe 1 more game)
Posted Sunday March 16, 2008, About: Falcons trading Hall to Raiders
The Raiders defense could be back to the level it was at a couple years ago with Hall. The front still needs a player like Glenn Dorsey to fill the giant hole (literally) left by Warren Sapp.
Posted Saturday March 01, 2008, About: Dodgers interested in Tigers' Inge
I don't think the Dodgers should bother getting him. They obviously think that LaRoche is the 3B of the future, and if he still isn't ready, Nomar showed that he can still play pretty well, although he no longer hits for any power.
Posted Saturday March 01, 2008, About: Bonds failed 2001 steroids test
He probably wasn't suspended because whoever in baseball knew about it liked the publicity that baseball was getting with his chance to break the record. Just like Palmiero failed a test and then ir just happened to be reported after he had time to get his 3000 hit.
Posted Saturday March 01, 2008, About: Saints ask Giants about Shockey
Is Shockey a distraction off the field, Yes. But he is a good enough player that the Giants need to keep him, even if Eli Manning likes throwing to Kevin Boss more. He is agreat blocker, a good receiver, and one of the best TEs in the league when he is healthy.
Posted Wednesday February 20, 2008, About: Keyshawn open to Dolphins return
Why would Keshawn want to come back to play for a Dolphins team that could very likely be the worst in the NFL next year? Because its probably the only tema that he can make.
Posted Wednesday February 20, 2008, About: Can Braves re-sign Teixeira?
They need to resign him because he mashed in ATL last year, but I see them letting him walk and again trying to give the job to Scott Thorman.
Posted Tuesday February 19, 2008, About: Cubs can't swing leadoff trade
I could see the Orioles trading Roberts because they are obviosly rebuilding. I think they would want a package with a good amount of young prospects.
Posted Monday February 18, 2008, About: Marlins shut down Sanchez rehab
Yeah. Lowell was a monster, and Beckett looks like he will never lose in the postseason, while the Marlins probaly will never get there.
Posted Monday February 18, 2008, About: Athletics waiting on Red Sox?
I think that the Sox will stay with what they have, and go into the season with a rotation of Beckett, Dice-K, Bucholz, Wakefield and Lester. I just don't see them giving the A's the talent that Billy Beane will want. Plus both GMs beleive in the same strategy pretty much, so Beane isn't likely to pick some OBP monster that Boston doesn't care about.
