A-Rod had his chance in the top of the ninth. He failed again as he always does. He can never be considered for "best player ever to play" argument because he never comes through in the clutch.

I heard Madden say, during the game last night, that bringing in Griese would only be a band-aid. He says they need a long term fix. The last time I checked sports were about taking one game at a time and doing everything you can to win that one game. Griese gives them a chance to win right now. Worry about the long term later. The Bears need to win, now.

What's wrong with a little trash talking. I do it with my friends on the golf course all the time. Those guys are all friends and I'm sure nobody was really offended by Vijay. They are just having some fun. No big deal.

All I can say is the Mets have blown more leads this week than anybody I have ever seen. Randolph better find himself some pitchers that can get somebody out and he better do it quick.

Jackson has yet to show that he has NFL level talent. Until he shows that talent, the Vikings are in trouble and so is Childress' job. Holcomb didn't show any better today against the chiefs in place of Jackson.

In fairness to Kent, he is having a pretty good season. Hitting.298 and 20 home runs, but it isn't like he is smacking home runs every day and the rest of the team is batting .100. I think his tirade is nothing more than him realizing the season is officially over for the Dodgers. Maybe if they go pick up another old, washed up pitcher they could rally.
