Very interesting idea about creating an all-star touring team. They could possibly worm thier way around the DP rule and get that 2nd team in NY eventually. But would they take away the stars that would have ended up in the MLS sooner?

everyone needs to understand our player pool! Our "b" team, not even sure I'd give them that good of a grade is playing in the gold cup vs the likes of Haiti, who thinks this is the world cup. If our big boys were in there it would have been a 4-0 scoeline. I love when people get all gushy over the spain win and then criticize this team after a 2-2 draw with haiti, like it's the same team.

The only time I've asked Refs for a water break is when my mens league team only has 8 guys, and even then it's not to get water, just to regroup and rest a minute. I remember years ago when I was playing in the USA Cup there was a massive heat wave. We were playing a team from Argentina, our minnesota boys who are used to "cold weather" played just fine and schooled those kids to the tune of 6-1. The Argentines were dropping like flies due to the heat. I guess the weather affects everyone differently.
