By the looks of it, we're getting closer and closer to getting that list.

There are 600 players who did NOT test positive by the 2003 testing program. These players are considered as possible users by many. Tainted by proxy, right? I suspect many of these 600 have it in their interest to prove they did nothing wrong. I believe the list will be out soon...but not soon enough for me.

Does anyone out there believe either will be in the HOF anytime soon? Look at backlash Mac is facing. I'd say they are soiled beyond all recognition. If Petie can be kept out for betting (and losing) and Shoeless Joe kept out for unsubstantiated claims then these cheaters and all their positive test results can be kept out.

The problem Arod is going to have now are the constant taunts whenever he comes to the plate or touches the ball. I don't actually think his stoic attitude will hold out the season. The Yankees realize this is going to effect the team in a bad way. In a demoralizing way. In a way their $300M is going to generate the following problems...

If he gets a hit: scornful shouts

If he makes a double-play: taunts and distraction

If he flies out: laughter and noisy jokes

If he whiffs: goat bleats will be heard

If he beats out a stolen base: shameful chanting

If he hits a HR: he'd better keep on that batting helmet cuz the ball is coming back out on the field.

This is just in Yankee Stadium. Wait till he plays in Seattle, Texas or Boston!!!! The NYY management is probably not even sure what to do. They are stuck with their "investment". The players will vocally support him. Mind you, these are the same guys who called him "A-Fraud" but do you think 162 games of this will help the team spirit??!?!?!!

The Yankees would never sign Teixeira at this age. He's far too young. Give him a couple more seasons and when he's on his last legs, they will break the bank for a 120 game swan song (over 2 years, naturally). The Sox are gonna get him.

Elsbury is going to win the ROY. Lester will win 14+ games a year. The Twins left the best deal on the table to keep Santana out of the AL so they never have to face him. That's probably worth 2 wins a year right there. Huh? Does this make any sense? Which one of those prospects the Mets sent over are going to amount to 1/2 a Johan Santana over the next 5 years? I think the Twins were just dumping his salary.

It appears that Brian and Roger's conversation doesn't prove anything except that Brian likes (liked) Clemens. But, there's no backing down of his claims. I'm not sure what Clemens gains with this audio release. It appears even more ammunition to the camp which says Roger is guilty and that everyone is disappointed. Aren't we all?
