I know, I was thinking of a RESPONSIBLE parent. I lost my head for a minute. The dad should have said "Son, you're special. The rules are for the little people. You know, the ones that study hard and get good grades. They aren't really for the big sports heros like you".

This little boy needs to grow up. He knew the rule and he broke it. It doesn't matter if he was speaking to a teacher or a student. Let him have his little temper tantrum and transfer. Let the men stay at U of M and the whiner leave. Good riddance. His dad was making excuses for him. That shows that the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. Dad should be teaching this kid about life "Son, if you break the rules, you'll face the consequences".
