Posted Friday December 26, 2008, About: Chizik in no rush to hire new staff
The Auburn administration totally cracked under pressure from Alabama and Nick Saban.

Golfer has it right, it will get worse before it gets better.... Alabama will mop up in recruiting this year and will only be getting stronger over the next few season while Auburn wollows in mediocrity...
Posted Sunday December 14, 2008, About: What killed McCoy's Heisman hopes
I've been watching Heisman Trophies being handed out for 40 yrs or so... It's hard to recall three more deserving finalist.

But in fact, if Tebow was left off roughly 150 ballets.... then those voters have sunk to new lows and have managed to corrupt the Heisman selection process.

Shame on them.
Posted Wednesday December 10, 2008, About: Tuberville's mom claims he was fired
I suspect all the potential replacements for Coach Tuberville are on the sidelines watching all of this and having second thoughts...

The administration at Auburn never really supported Coach Tubs ( remember JetGate? ) despite his solid record.

What coach in his right mind would want to be in that environment? My guess is that this entire situation is not only going to cost them recruits... but quality replacements as well.
Posted Tuesday December 09, 2008, About: Recruits unfazed by LSU's lackluster showing
The difference is of course that LSU sucked when Saban got there... When Miles got to LSU, they were loaded and coming off a recent National Championship, thanks to Nick Saban.

The bottom line is Les Miles' worst nightmare has come true... he has been exposed as a very average coach when compared to Saban... and a resurgent Alabama will be his demise.

If Miles does not produce 9-10 wins next year he will be in DEEP trouble with the Tiger faithful. The only question is where will he run to next?
Posted Sunday December 07, 2008, About: Georgia making late run at Tide commit
If the kid wants to win a National Championship, he will stick with Bama.... If he wants to play for a chroic under-achiever, he will choose the dawgs.
Posted Sunday December 07, 2008, About: Recruits unfazed by LSU's lackluster showing
With all due respect TCopelin, it's time for LSU fans and recruits to accept the fact that Les Miles is NOT a great coach.

Les Miles took over a program absolutely loaded with talent and has managed to squander it over the last two seasons. Yes, they won a National Championship last year... but I would contend they not only backed into it, but were darn lucky not to loose several more games along the way. Then this year, they collaped like a cheap card table.

Finally, Les Miles showed a LOT of interest in Michigan before the Wolverines decided on Rich Rodriquez... Which means of course, that all the hate directed towards Nick Saban for leaving LSU will soon be directed at Les Miles if he decides to exit as well.

Any recruit thinking of going to LSU needs to understand that Les Miles will likely NOT be at LSU by the time they are a senior... something to think about and consider before signing a national letter of intent with LSU.

Wow, efw_west is feeling frisky... LOL.... Got news for you Mr West, even in an average year by SEC standards, WVU would be lucky to win 5 games in the SEC....

"...and thugs/criminals"

GGG when you have an original and insightful thought, feel free to chime in....until then, why don't you sit on the sidelines and just try and keep up... and don't worry, we will use small words and short sentences for you.... LOL
Posted Sunday November 30, 2008, About: USC rout puts Weis on chopping block
Notre Dame deserves better.... It's sad to see such a storied program fall to such depths...

Start over ND... you have lots of good recruits so the pipeline is full. You just need someone who the players like and respect.
Posted Sunday November 23, 2008, About: Franchione interested in K-State job
All I can say is that all K State fans should read my post on Coach Fran... you can see it on my profile page....

If you hire this guy, you deserve the consequences...
Posted Sunday November 23, 2008, About: Notre Dame's bowl options
Notre Dame deserves a top notch coach... and Charlie Weis is NOT a top notch coach.

I have read that he is disliked by his players... his assistant coaches.... and now of course, the Notre Dame faithful.

Unless the Irish do a complete 180 next year, the influential alumni will pass the hat... come up with a load of money, and hire someone else to take Weis's place...

And as far as ktracy's previous post:

"That's why ND said no to Meyer coaching there.ND's got class, that's why they struggle to do well. They refuse to take on the no brains players who will be homeless once their 4 years of eligibility is up."

I hate to burst your bubble ktracy.... but that comment is not only ridiculously false... but exhibits the same arrogance shown by Coach Weis himself.

The truth is ND recruits the same atheletes everyone else does... in fact, they are usually successful getting the same players recruited by everyone else ( just look at their recruiting rankings )

In reality Weis is just a terrible head coach.. he may make a solid assistant... but he is a miserable failure as the Notre Dame head coach...
Posted Thursday November 20, 2008, About: Auburn's Tuberville in trouble?
Yawn.....

Bottom line is Saban has brought Bama back from the brink.... They have a very good team this year ( although I will admit I think Florida is better....MUCH better )

Alabama will only get better as the years go by and Saban's recruits gain experience.

All the negative Alabama comments stem from the fact that a resurgent Alabama represents a nightmare for LSU, Auburn and Tennessee...

Bama is back...get used to it...

Posted Sunday November 09, 2008, About: Can Miles fix LSU's quarterback problem?
While I am thrilled Alabama won last night.... I must admit that it was about as sloppy a game I have ever seen Bama and LSU play...

Neither team looked very good... thankfully Alabama found a way to win...

The problem of course is that when Bama meets Florida in the SEC Championship game, Florida is going to run all over us unless we find a way to be far more consistent in the passing game.

Good luck the rest of the year LSU...
Posted Tuesday November 04, 2008, About: Tennessee commitments wavering
The biggest question is "who" will replace Fulmer and more importantly, "WHEN" will he be named?

With Fulmer agreeing to finish out the season, when will a replacement be named? No existing coach ( be it Cutcliff or someone else ) will agree to an announcement during the season...as they do not want this to be a distraction for their existing team.... which leaves the recruits twisting in the wind all season wondering who will be heading up the Tennessee program?

Just how many blue chippers will be willing to wait until sometime in late December or early January to find out who will be named Fulmer's replacement? The longer Tennessee waits to make the announcement, the closer they get to Signing Day... and the fewer the scholarships at other schools will remain....

Some blue chippers will stay... some will no doubt leave and sign on with another school where they will at least know who they will be playing for...

This is NOT a good situation for Tennessee as recruits hate uncertainty... and the Tennessee situation is full of uncertainty. It will be interesting to see how Tennessee handles this as the season progresses.
Posted Tuesday November 04, 2008, About: Spurrier takes jab at Fulmer
Spurrier is and always has been a classless jackass...

Yes he is a very good coach... so what? The coaching profession is full of very good coaches. At the end of the day he remains an arrogant S.O.B. that would not recognize a class act if it bit him in the butt.
Posted Monday November 03, 2008, About: Fulmer urges coaches to be strong
A number of factors probably resulted in Tennessee's dismal showing this year and entered into Fulmer's decision to leave at the end of the season.... Many of the issues are centered in Tuscaloosa, Alabama

A) Saban out recruited Fulmer the last two years... grabbing several blue chippers from Tennessee.

B) Saban out coached Fulmer the last two years... beating a Tennessee team that was at least as talented as Alabama.

C) Saban beat Fulmer and Tennesse the last two years. It's hard to survive as a head coach when you loose consistently to an arch rival...

Bottom line though is I agree with Gator_Nation... "Be careful what you wish for"... and don't follow the Alabama model of changing coaches every few years trying to find the next Bear Bryant...
Posted Sunday October 12, 2008, About: Fulmer ready for heat after loss
Tracy I agree with youR thoughts... Tennessee was NOT the best team in the eastern division at the end of the season...Mybe not even the second best... and yes the Vols benefited from "the perfect storm" as you put it...

The problem is when you look back over the years, there have not been enough "perfect storms" for the Vol fans to cut Fulmer much slack...

Tennessee has been the whipping boy of Florida for as long as anyone can remember...and with Alabama coming back strong... Georgia coming into it's own... a Florida team that seems to reload each year ... Tennessee will soon find themselves totally behind the power curve ( if not already ) and loosing ground fast.

He may survive 2008 but trust me when I tell ya... HIS DAYS ARE NUMBERED...
Posted Sunday October 12, 2008, About: Fulmer ready for heat after loss
Fulmer is in trouble.... Big trouble.

Let's be honest... During Fulmer's tenure (with the exception the exception of the one year they won the National Championship ), Tennessee has not been all that competitive in the race for the SEC championship... and with Alabama, LSU, Florida and Georgia
all elevating their programs, Tennessee is falling farther and farther behind.

The Vol fans will not sit on their hands and watch the program wallow in mediocrity. They will do exactly what Alabama did... go out and get a top flight coach to resurrect their program.
Posted Saturday October 04, 2008, About: Fulmer names new Vols QB
Dozer has it exactly right... The Vols are clearly the most over-rated team in the SEC year after year...
Posted Monday September 15, 2008, About: Top receiver commits to Alabama
Bama is on the mend... Give Saban another year and Alabama will consistently compete for a National Championship... LSU's and Les Miles's worst nightmare...

All the negative whining from LSU fans is just an indication of how nervous they are... and for good reason.

Sleep well guys....
