Not that I feel old or nothing, but June Jones was the quarterback for U of H when I attended. They will not let him go. There is plenty of money in the alumni base (except me). Hawaii polynesian players have heart. SMU is the home of the rich kids. Who would you rather coach?

Why not do something that really has an impact. Sign Rowland and Fukudome. Solves center and right at once with big bats. Give them whatever they want. Trade prospects for Roberts and Bedard, or even just Bedard, Let's get busy Jim. You spent so much money last year, you have to finish this to its dentined conclusion of a championship after 100 years. The marketing of that whole scenario would generate more than you can possibly spend.

I wish no one to go through injury. Benson has not performed and I often wish the Michael Vick deal was never made with San Diego, because we were going to pick LaDainian Tomlinson. We need to find a big back with speed like Stephon Jackson. I would take Adrian Peterson in a heartbeat. Perhaps, we can trade up and get McFadden out of Arkansas. Back to my other point, I wish no harm to anyone. I prayed hard last night for Sean Taylor of the Redskins. No other reason than the tragic circumstances. We do need a back, but I hope Benson heals and has a good life.

It will turn out to be the mistake of the decade by not getting Kevin Garnett. It would have been one of those trades that creates championships for years. He would have been the anchor and the constant. Nobody else, including Kobe would have fit as nicely as Garnett. Now we have to live watching that mistake for many years.
