Posted Thursday May 08, 2008, About: Spygate: What Walsh has, and doesn't
Actually, I think half of you know d*ck about football....Stealing defensive signals, while important, doesn't carry as much importance as you may think, nor is it as bad as it sounds. Look, lets say i'm stealing an opposing D's signal, and they're calling a 3-Weak...Big deal, cover 3, weak alignment, which my QB and line and O-Coor should spot anyway, in other words, not such a big deal. Yeah, if they're picking up certain blitz calls, that should have a little affect, like Mike Go, or Quick at C, but even then, my receivers still need to get open, my O-Line still needs to block, etc etc. In other words, knowing the D formations isn't such a tremendous asset as it's sounding to half of you guys, and again, let me stress that the O-C up in the stands with the camera and headset should be talking to the QB anyway, heck, thats what hot reads and audibles are for, when you spot a mismatch in the D's alignment.
Posted Monday May 05, 2008, About: Jets TE dispute lingers on
Wow, you guys are way off base. Baker has every right to feel aggrieved, and he's been handled terribly. Baker is making 650K this year, to be the starter, right? They then sign Bubba Franks to be the BACKUP, with a contract value of 1.65 million, over a MILLION more than the guy who he's backing up. They then draft a rookie TE (ridiculous waste of a pick), who's going to get paid substantially more than Baker, as the rookie contracts are way out of scale, and all you idiots are saying he doesn't have the right to be pissed. all you guys need to take the financial aspect out of the equation and tell me how you'd feel in this situation. Personally, i never have any sympathy for athletes, but based purely on the way this has been handled, he's got every right to be angry.
Posted Friday April 11, 2008, About: Hahnemann going home to Seattle?
Breman, seriously, do some research. Hahnemann is one of the major reasons that Reading got to the EPL, and is one of the major reasons that Reading has been able to stay up, moron. Furthermore, 36 is in no way old for a GK. Look at Lehmann (b4 getting benched), Van Der Sar, Kahn, and on and on, all of whom are 38-40. Seriously, Keeper is the one position where you age gracefully, since while you may lose some speed and athleticism, you get more tactically sound, being able to cut down angles, etc. Moreover, i don't see anyone criticising Lehmann for wanting to "come home" to Germany to finish out his career, yet criticism abounds for Hahnemann. And finally, use your noggin, (it's that lump 2 feet above yer Ar*e), even at 38, Hahnemann would be one of the better Keepers in MLS.

Really, some people shouldn't be allowed to breed....
