*OSU is not a top 25 team.
*OSU s hardly the best team in the state.
Have you guys seriously lost your minds. OSU played terrible against OU, and the quarterback play and red zone offense was not good in week 1....but seriously....seriously...think before you post.
I imagine USC will be a 10 - 12 point favorite next week, and deservedly so. I am not confident at all that OSU will win, but like some of the more intelligent posters on here have pointed out...any given Saturday....
Not a top 25 team...not the best team in the state of OHIO! Unbelievable...please don't reproduce.
**Harrington is not currently employed.
It would be different if we lost to Michigan a million to 7 like Oklahoma lost to Kansas State, and then went out and get beat in the NC game. I think people have a right to be pi$$ed about that. Not taking a shot at you there, but that was kinda BS.
"Over the last five years, an average of 36.6 Big Ten student-athletes have been chosen in the NFL Draft on an annual basis, including six first-round selections per year. The Big Ten and the SEC are the only two conferences to boast an average of at least 36 players and six first-rounders since 2003. At least 40 Big Ten players have been drafted on two occasions, including a high of 44 selections in 2004, a total that ranks second over the last five drafts to the ACC's 51 players chosen in 2006.
Ohio State ranks first nationally with 39 players chosen by NFL teams over the past five years, followed by Miami of Florida (36), Florida State (33) and Southern California (30). Fourteen Buckeyes were drafted in 2004, the highest single-season total for any school over the five-year span.
The Big Ten and SEC top all conferences with five different institutions boasting at least 20 NFL selections over the last five years, followed by the ACC (3), Big 12 (3) and Pac-10 (2). Other Big Ten programs to produce 20 or more NFL draft picks since 2003 include Michigan (23), Penn State (21), Iowa (20) and Wisconsin (20), while Purdue has recorded 18 NFL draftees during that time.
Talk to the Rose Bowl about keeping the Big 10 and Pac 10 tied to that game. The teams go where they are invited.
And by pretending the UM fans wouldn't be all over this is if were an OSU coach, you confirm YOUR idiocy.
I don't think the "Good ol' Boy" judge in WV would make a bit of difference. The bottom line is that RR had a contract....a contract that included a buyout. He didn't have a leg to stand on in this case, and he has shown his character by dragging this out. He clearly was waiting for Michigan to step in and offer to pay part of the buyout. The guy very well may modernize the UM football program and be a hero to the fans, however, I think it's really hard for an unbiased person to defend the man's character. This article illustrates the reasons why. Negative? Yes. But if it's all true, I think it's all worth noting.
