Posted Sunday September 07, 2008, About: USC scouting Buckeyes QBs
I just wanted to sum up some of the genius comments on this thread:

*OSU is not a top 25 team.

*OSU s hardly the best team in the state.

Have you guys seriously lost your minds. OSU played terrible against OU, and the quarterback play and red zone offense was not good in week 1....but seriously....seriously...think before you post.

I imagine USC will be a 10 - 12 point favorite next week, and deservedly so. I am not confident at all that OSU will win, but like some of the more intelligent posters on here have pointed out...any given Saturday....

Not a top 25 team...not the best team in the state of OHIO! Unbelievable...please don't reproduce.

SoonerGirl, it's not that any of this is devastating to OSU/Big 10 fans, it's just annoying when people who watch 2 games a year start infecting the uneducated masses with their stupidity.

It would be different if we lost to Michigan a million to 7 like Oklahoma lost to Kansas State, and then went out and get beat in the NC game. I think people have a right to be pi$$ed about that. Not taking a shot at you there, but that was kinda BS.

Another moron....captcruzan, did you forget about the Michigan game?

There are people that make a living evaluating talent. They are called NFL scouts. They don't have my Big 10 homerism, or the OSU jealousy that spews from many of the ignorant posters who can only point to one game per year. Let's see what these experts have to say about the alleged lack of talent in the Bog 10...

"Over the last five years, an average of 36.6 Big Ten student-athletes have been chosen in the NFL Draft on an annual basis, including six first-round selections per year. The Big Ten and the SEC are the only two conferences to boast an average of at least 36 players and six first-rounders since 2003. At least 40 Big Ten players have been drafted on two occasions, including a high of 44 selections in 2004, a total that ranks second over the last five drafts to the ACC's 51 players chosen in 2006.

Ohio State ranks first nationally with 39 players chosen by NFL teams over the past five years, followed by Miami of Florida (36), Florida State (33) and Southern California (30). Fourteen Buckeyes were drafted in 2004, the highest single-season total for any school over the five-year span.

The Big Ten and SEC top all conferences with five different institutions boasting at least 20 NFL selections over the last five years, followed by the ACC (3), Big 12 (3) and Pac-10 (2). Other Big Ten programs to produce 20 or more NFL draft picks since 2003 include Michigan (23), Penn State (21), Iowa (20) and Wisconsin (20), while Purdue has recorded 18 NFL draftees during that time.

Your talking about 2 differnt years Deion Warrick.

And how many losses does your team have in the last 30 YEARS, since that is how far you are going back with this nonsense. Your rant is a joke.

Talk to the Rose Bowl about keeping the Big 10 and Pac 10 tied to that game. The teams go where they are invited.

I don't know of any Big 10 fans that are afraid of a playoff. I would much rather have a playoff than have the boys sit around for 6 weeks.

Nice research Reebok. OSU has scheduled Texas a few years back, then USC the next 2 years, Miami of Florida (schedule right after the NC game in 2002) and Cal, Va Tech, Oklahoma in the coming years. Genius.

I agree Ricky can live his life how he wants, but he's not a 1500 yard back on a team with Ronnie Brown.

Hey TiCaL07, you might want to use the correct version on "your" in a post where YOU'RE insulting someone's intelligence.

And by pretending the UM fans wouldn't be all over this is if were an OSU coach, you confirm YOUR idiocy.

Who was disappointed about Tressel? His biggest compitition was Glen Mason. I didn't know of anyone that preferred Mason. Tressel had a pedigree of winning. Granted not on the same level as the Big 10, but for the most part, winners are winners.

I don't think the "Good ol' Boy" judge in WV would make a bit of difference. The bottom line is that RR had a contract....a contract that included a buyout. He didn't have a leg to stand on in this case, and he has shown his character by dragging this out. He clearly was waiting for Michigan to step in and offer to pay part of the buyout. The guy very well may modernize the UM football program and be a hero to the fans, however, I think it's really hard for an unbiased person to defend the man's character. This article illustrates the reasons why. Negative? Yes. But if it's all true, I think it's all worth noting.
