Pujols? Pujols isn't a leader. He keeps to himself. Always has and always will. Expecting Pujols to step up and be a leader with Hamilton, who is also not a leader, is just plain silly. Neither of these players are known as being locker room leaders or positive contributors to team chemistry. Hunter is going to be missed far more than fans who discount leadership and chemistry realize. This team is going to have a good lineup. But then again, so are the Tigers... and the Tigers have better pitching.

I love how fans who've never been in a Major League Baseball locker room will claim that chemistry and leadership are overrated. Yet many players will tell you quite the opposite. But the fans must be right, right?
Posted Wednesday September 01, 2010, About: Will slumping Jeter want A-Rod money?
"The question is whether (Brian) Cashman and the others think this is the start of a decline."

Of course this is the start of a decline. Jeter is getting older. ARod is declining also. If they sign Jeter to an ARod contract they are going to end up with 2 players that are hitting their decline but making the money of someone in their prime. Not a good combination. I already think the Yankees are going to deeply regret ARod's deal in the years to come...
