Posted Tuesday July 03, 2012, About: Red Sox after King Felix?
Demonstration why the press can't be believed (or why blogs like this can't be considered newsworthy). There was a Boston based internet blog 2 days ago that ASKED if the readers thought a Lester/Ellsbury trade was worth it. Now its being reported as news?
Posted Saturday June 16, 2012, About: Is Epstein Cubs' savior or snake-oil salesman?
I once thought Sox had great farm system then moved several times. Each team (Rangers, Tampa, Detroit) would make you realize Red Sox are in bottom half of prospects and getting worse.

With 1-2 exceptions, teams that won World Series were made up of players Theo inherited. Was Nomar trade brilliant or luck? We will never know but longer Theo had team, the worst they did.

While he has said he will be back, don't overlook Doc leaving. As he should after their gutty performance, he truely loves these players. With Pierce and others slowed by injuries and age, Doc will likely not want to go through the turmoil of cutting their minutes, etc. He showed this with Pierce, who should have been benched numerous times in playoffs. Doc also getting schooled by teams with younger, faster players he has no answer for. Personal pride must be hurting.

Sad. McDonald a flawed .200 hitter. Sox better off bringing up a AA hitter than reactivating him.
Posted Saturday March 10, 2012, About: Papelbon: Philly fans 'know the game better'
While Boston has been my home for many years, I grew up in Phila area. Both two of greatest sports cities in US but major difference is that Boston sports reporters often try to influence opinion rather than report news. Fans often act on what reporters say-could be based on facts or not. What other city would boo Ted Williams? One of greatest players of all time but reporters didn't like him so stories often skewed against him.
Posted Wednesday December 21, 2011, About: Scouts complete Red Sox-Cubs deal?
Theo's performance in Boston the past few years has been less than desired. Sox management may just be happy Cubs solved issue for them.
Posted Sunday November 27, 2011, About: Mallett making progress with Pats
I live in Boston area and no one writes about Mallett. Things must be really slow to get this story printed.
Posted Thursday October 20, 2011, About: Red Sox trio brought beer to dugout
Silly rumor. With all the cameras and press, 0 chance this never got reported before.
Posted Thursday October 13, 2011, About: Drama has Ortiz considering Yankees
Kind of like the high school boy saying he never would ask out the hot girl, knowing he didn't have much of a chance.
Posted Sunday October 02, 2011, About: Source: Epstein 'very interested' in Cubs job
Theo has dug himself a hole in Boston-Cubs job one way to start fresh. Past 4 years, his signings, both at the major and minor league level have been poor to horrid. As a fan who sees 25-30 minor league games a year, dispite what some Red Sox owned writers say, feeder system is hurting.
Posted Saturday October 01, 2011, About: Red Sox owner fired Francona
Silly and naive for all the excuses to come out for a team that at one time had best record in baseball. Conditioning? Likely some could have been in better shape but sometimes injuries happen. Just like when Ellsbury had broken ribs last year, not sure why some Boston writers try for explanations versus the simple truth. If Lester or Buckholtz had won 3-4 more games would have had one of best records and favorite for playoffs.
Posted Thursday September 29, 2011, About: Francona a goner?
In some ways, hope Francona does leave. Classy guy and great manager but the longer Theo has been GM the worse Sox have gotten. Francona too much class to throw bombs at Theo but he must know money has been misspent. Having to throw guys like Lackey out there every 5 days likely eating Tito up.
Posted Wednesday September 28, 2011, About: Francona on thinner ice than Epstein
Theo has handcuffed team for many years to come. Poor signings with no room to fix. Just got out of Drew and other terrible contracts and here comes Lackey, Jenks, Crawford, etc.
Posted Monday August 29, 2011, About: Desperate Pats need Haynesworth
Another silly comment. "Desperate?" Lions was perfect game for Bill B-ran vanilla sets all game to evaluate and motivate.
Posted Monday June 13, 2011, About: LeBron felled by nerves
Anyone know who approved the press conference announcing Miami's Big Three? One of the all time dumb PR moves in sports.
Posted Monday June 13, 2011, About: LeBron felled by nerves
Not a LeBron fan but he never got ball in critical situations from Wade.
Posted Sunday June 12, 2011, About: MLB analyst calls Wrigley Field 'a dump'
Having been a Red Sox fan for over 30 years, Fenway is not great. Anyone who has been to the newer parks like Camden or SF, Fenway is just old.
Posted Wednesday June 08, 2011, About: Whispers resurface for James after Game 4
Maybe if he didn't cry about every call he wouldn't have so many critics
Posted Monday May 30, 2011, About: Foote: Owners are making money now
Somehow the $500M+ that the owners each invested seems to be forgotten. While many making money, with other sports losing $50-100M per year (i.e. Mets) no wonder NFL owners want to maximize return. No sympathy on either side - just pointing out that millionaires go bankrupt too.
