Posted Saturday March 08, 2008, About: Bonds asterisk ball to Hall?
I was listening to Dan Patrick today and a caller mentioned that the Baseball Hall of Fame belongs to the fans, and the majority of fans want the ball (with asterisk) on display and DP thinks the HOF belongs to the players and to "the game" and that the fans opinion is not important. I think the game and the HOF belong to the fans b/c without fans paying to watch there are no games and no players making millions. Just curious what others think. Is baseball for the fans or the players?
Posted Sunday February 24, 2008, About: Does Moneyball really work?
I'm a big time Oakland A's fan and I am here to say that Moneyball would work much better for a team with money! Oakland has drafted a lot of good players, but they have been forced to let those players walk b/c this organization is not about winning anymore, they have become the farm system for all the MLB teams with money. Damn shame b/c just a few years ago this team played (and got smacked) in the ALCS and had a chance to compete. Then, during the off season, the key players from that season walked b/c Oakland couldn't/didn't pay them. Being a fan of Oakland is really tough these days, knowing that the majority of players will be AAA players instead of pro ball players. I want fans who read this to name four A's players, excluding the guys on the team last season. Good luck!

Larry B is on track with the suggested jail time, but I really do not think a presidential pardon is realistic. The gov't has spent so much time & money on this that they are going to give up on bailing out million dollar liars! And who is going to give him that pardon when Dubya is gone?? Obama... Nope. Billary...Nope. John McCain?? I think the chances of a pres pardon are slim, but crazier things have happened in the US gov't: See Dubya reading to school children while terrorists attack fly passenger planes into buildings!!!

Who are the Rays?? Can we contract them already?? They are virtually worthless and are only in the league so that Boston & NY can smack em around!
Posted Sunday February 24, 2008, About: Clemens backpedals on '98 party
As for Bar-roid looking smarter each day, that's a load of crap! All this does is take some of the attention off Bar-roid until his lawyers go to court, which is this coming week if I am not mistaken. Side note: If Barry is SO great, why is it that not one team has talked to him about playing in 08'?? The guy is not worth the drama! Not one team in MLB wants the baggage that comes along with the great cheat!! Good luck in court Bar-roids!!

Why is Roger Clemens so eager to go to jail?? The guy has lied and lied and the gov't will bust him for it. Ironically, he will not go to jail for steroid/HGH use, he will go to jail for perjury. Gov't doesn't clamp down on drug abusers as much as the clamp down on liars! Enjoy your time in the can Rog.
Posted Saturday February 16, 2008, About: Schilling, Sox going to war?
Hey Curt, is that karma biting you in the tail end?? You spent most of the off season running your mouth and throwing MLB players under the bus and ripping guys who "may have" taken roids and now you are damaged goods. Great pitcher over his career, no doubt about that, but I am SO sick of hearing this guy flap his gums. I hope Boston can figure out a way to get their money back, b/c you don't deserve it if you don't play this season. In fact, let's talk about guaranteed contracts and there impact on the game of baseball.
Posted Monday January 28, 2008, About: Nets-Pacers deal falls apart
How many teams have talked to Indiana about O'Neal in the past two years?? The guy is broken down and his ridiculous contract will keep him in a Pacer jersey. And speaking of Indiana, weren't they a respectable franchise at one point?? Larry legend, thanks for taking Dunleavy & Murphy in return for Stephen Jack & Al Harrington. Very nice move French Lick boy.
Posted Sunday January 27, 2008, About: Sources: Kidd asks for trade
At what point will professional athletes man up and play out an entire contract? I can't even begin to explain how angry it makes me when these athletes control a franchise. Jason Kidd is still a good player, not a great player and I am sure a lot of teams in the hunt for the playoffs will call him, but I wouldn't want him on my team. If he can quit on his team once, what makes people think he won't do it again? And he will get traded, he will be on his best behavior for a few months and then he will turn on his new team.
Posted Sunday January 27, 2008, About: Sources: Kidd asks for trade
just another washed up, overpaid athlete bitching when things don't go his way. Trade him to Miami and see if he can handle losing

When he is on video with crutches, then let me know!!! Walking boot with two weeks until game time.... He will play no matter what
Posted Saturday January 19, 2008, About: Clemens hires Clinton's attorney
American sports fans are very forgiving (see Jason Giambi) and if Clemens came and and said " Look, I used steroids to try and stay in MLB and win games/rings." Fans would be pissed that he took drugs, but would end up forgiving him for his mistakes. But, what American sports fans hate the most is a liar who is also a cheat. The athletes that step up and tell the truth will be given a pass and those who lie will NEVER live it down. Tell the truth people, even if it makes you look bad.

Life long 49er fan and I am really ticked off! Alex Smith and Vernon Davis signed two of the biggest contracts in NFL history and have produced absolutely squat!!! Time to drop Alex Smith and find a real QB, Fire Nolan and hire Mike Singletary and go spend some of that cap money on WR's who can catch the damn ball! Oh, Patriots fan, you're welcome for the top 5 pick! I'm sure NE can make a smart pick, unlike SF! The glory days are long gone and the cellar is a lonely place to be....

Posted Sunday September 23, 2007, About: Slimmer Baron wants heavier contract
Baron was great during the playoffs and when healthy he is a stud. But the guy gets hurt way too much to sign him to a max deal. Love the guy, but a max deal?? I say no.
Posted Sunday September 23, 2007, About: Weis to escape to Giants?
Charlie Weiss doesn't deserve to coach high school football at this point! He can't even coach at ND, so why should he get a chance to coach in the NFL?
