God forbid the donors keep donating to the school to encourage and enhance education and innovation to benefit society.

Donor One: "Duhh, football, good."
Donor Two: "Eyah..."
Posted Thursday November 15, 2007, About: Notre Dame fans stick by Irish
So much for being a hard news site.

Even so, the fact that this "story" came from a major outlet, the Sun Times, says little - and yet, a lot - about that paper.

I'm an Irish fan (obviously) and even I'm tired of these non-stories. Next thing, we'll be talking about Weis' trips to the bathroom and their results - which should prove more productive than the games he coaches.

Now you're making it personal, Bates.

I'd buy him those groceries, Master, if he could get those 3-4 wins, Alfred.

He declared, "If you don't win, I will eat you." :) Just teasing, Ralphie. Just teasing.
Posted Thursday October 18, 2007, About: Manny on ALCS: 'Who cares?'
You know, I read that blog someone attributed to Manny, and I hope to God that isn't Manny's real blog. It sounds like a blithering fool wrote it while high on something.

Oh...wait... *raises eyebrow*
Posted Thursday October 11, 2007, About: Paterno's road rage incident
I think, if anything, the out of town media doesn't like that they can't get good sound bites out of him. No wonder he's still working at 80. He doesn't get caught up in other people's drama. He tells people the way it is and moves on with his day.
Posted Thursday September 27, 2007, About: TBS omission angers skipped Caray
What bugs me most about the original article is the fact that they're slowly phasing Skip out of the Braves booth. Before, you got that feeling. Now it actually said so, stating that he did radio for most of this season. I did notice he was gone often.

His finest quality is very much his voice, almost soothing if not calming. It reminds you of how it would be if your father or grandfather sat you down and was explaining the game at the ballpark. You can really identify with his voice.

Now he's getting phased out for - literally - corporate speak.
Posted Thursday September 27, 2007, About: USC chasing Irish commitment
I would say you'd pick ND over USC right now because:
1) You want to play football - period.
2) Tradition is emphasized at ND and not so much at USC.
3) You want to stand out amongst your peers. Separating yourself from the pack is easier to do at ND than USC.
4) Getting exposure is key to you, winning or losing. For as highly-ranked as USC is, I see them play 3-4 times a year at most. I can see Notre Dame every single week of the season through one network or another.

I would say you'd pick USC over ND right now because:
1) You want to win. Now.
2) You want to be in the NFL, almost guaranteed if you start.
3) Competition with teammates doesn't bother you.
