Posted Monday March 24, 2008, About: Owner: Walker won't get buyout
Walker had a nice run with Pierce one year in the Leastern Conference finals and hit some big threes for Miami, but he does NOT do defense. The question is, who is this hurting? Not 'Toine, who will be happy to have the best seat in the house and get paid for it.

Manny will wait until the Sox exercise their option an then get busted for DWI, possession, etc. -- in other words, be Manny. As I have stated previously, there is no clown quite as amusing as Manny.

You think all those players wrote the guy checks because he was a nice guy? I read the entire report. It sounds pretty credible to me. These "snitches" were told in no uncertain terms that if they provided false information, there deals were off. It's not like they have any incentive to make up stories about anybody and in almost every case, there is a check. Follow the money.

Hey, lying to a federal grand jury is serious business. Just ask Scooter - and I don't mean Rizzuto. Maybe Bush will pardon Bonds.

I am a diehard Yankees fan. I have always said that McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, et al., should never be in the Hall, assuming that the allegations against them were true.

If Clemens or A-Rod or Jeter is named, and making the same assumption, neither should they be elected to the Hall. Ever.

I don't care what kinds of numbers they put up when. Throw the bums out.

So Clemens is there. I will treat every player on the list the same way, whether they are Yankees, my favorites players, or whoever - with utter disdain. None of them should be permitted in the Hall (including Clemens) and should be suspended indefinitely. Same for any manager, owner, or league executive who had knowledge and did nothing. This business has destroyed the history of one of the greatest games ever (and its history was one of its best selling points), and there is no excuse for it.

Does anybody really care what the Spanish media thinks about a Canadian franchise?

I don't think Joe regrets a thing - managing the Dodgers is obviously his idea of retirement. ;)

This will sound rich to those who remember me complaining that Cashman did nothing last off-season to bolster the Yank's pitching staff and which ultimately cost them a World Series' appearance, but at this point I say stick with the young guys - especially if Andy comes back.

Minneaplseed:

I watched the game against the Celtics but was not that upset over the antics given the trade and all. If he walked out on the team, though, that's different. I will take your word for it.

I love Mattingly as a Yankee player legend, but Yankee fans like me are going to be wishing for Torre back. Bet that.

I thought it was a harder foul than the announcers did, but DCummings is right - the Celtics totally overreacted. Having said that, as a Celtics' fan, that works fine for me. About time I saw some fire from these guys. I hope it continues.

Davis' (I think he was in Cleveland) throwing up a shot at his own backboard and grabbing the board in order to get a triple-double deservedly earned him a reputation as a selfish player. But when he was in Boston, the guy was the consumate team player - shared the ball, came off the bench without complaint (should have won 6th man award), credited his teammates in interviews, and hit some very big shots down the stretch when Pierce was doubled. I admit that I did not watch every T-Wolves game last year, but I didn't see anything which led me to believe that his game has reverted to the crap it used to be. I think the guy doesn't get a fair shake and I would take him on my team any day.
