Posted Friday November 15, 2013, About: Big Ben a holdout candidate
It certainly didn't hurt that the officiating was the worst I've ever seen in a Super Bowl either.
Posted Wednesday November 06, 2013, About: Flacco's reputation flagging again
Flacco managed to string together 4 excellent games which was completely out of character for him. Without a monumental brain cramp by Moore, the Raven's post-season was over and Flacco never gets that chance. But it happened, and instead of Flacco's long history of up-and-down performances, the Raven's were forced to pay him based on a 4 game stretch that he would never maintain. There was never any doubt in my mind that he would soon revert to his inconsistent play and doom the Ravens with a contract he was not even close to being worth.
Posted Tuesday November 05, 2013, About: Thomas: We should hang 'at least' 40 on Stanford
I suppose that given enough computer polls will balance biases and errors to give us a good average, but it's ludicrous that they won't all publish.
Posted Tuesday November 05, 2013, About: Thomas: We should hang 'at least' 40 on Stanford
Last I checked, there was only one of the computer polls (that you linked to) that published their methodology and formula. And shortly after, several errors were pointed out, which is why the programmer said he published it, he wanted others to check.

The fact that the others won't publish, diminishes their value, because of possible errors and built-in bias.

"Giants looking at Te'o at No. 19?"

If they are, it's because they needed some comic-relief in the sleep-deprived days leading up to the draft.
Posted Tuesday March 12, 2013, About: Kraft wants to keep Welker 'a Patriot for life'
... Kraft said he hopes the receiver "remains a Patriot for life, just like Tom Brady." "I love Wes Welker," ...
- - - - -
Unfortunately, Welker doesn't have a spouse that makes more than he does and he doesn't have nationwide commercial income, so he's unlikely to forfeit his one chance at a large contract, especially given the way the Patriots have dealt with him (not that they have treated him any different than almost all their players).
Posted Thursday March 07, 2013, About: Freeney on Denver's radar if Elvis leaves the Broncos
Looked to me like Broncos were headed to the Super Bowl last season. If not for a colossal blunder by Moore, they would have been hosting Pats and would have been favored.

Look like a strong contender again this year at this time.

3-5 years of strong QB play is not what I'd call short term.

Remove every word except LAKERS and TOOL and you have the essence of that team.
Posted Sunday May 06, 2012, About: 'Bama fan accused of sexual battery sued by LSU fan
Not to excuse the behavior of the Tide fan dropping his junk on the guy, but the LSU fan has to take some responsibility for drinking until he passed out. He could have spent the night in the drunk tank and the sex act might not have been simulated.
Posted Sunday May 06, 2012, About: Cuban blames CBA for Mavs tumble
Mavericks first ring should have been 2006. But Stern passed down the edict that the Heat would win, talked to a few refs and said, "Make it so". And so it was.
Posted Tuesday March 20, 2012, About: Smith likely to swallow his pride
Smith had a contract of 3 years at 8 per weeks ago, and HE chose not to sign it because he felt he could get more (he was pushing for 5 years rumor says). If Manning ended up in SF, Smith could have looked in the mirror if he wanted to blame someone.
Posted Tuesday March 20, 2012, About: Smith likely to swallow his pride
Yes, 49ers played all last year and Smith was the only QB on the team. Same with this year. They were going to direct snap to Gore and see what happens... *turns off sarcasm*

Kaepernick, does that name ring a bell? Or perhaps you have barely any knowledge of NFL, in which case you should refrain from making ignorant comments. Better to remain a silent fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Kaepernick would make more mistakes the first half of the season than Smith due to inexperience, but would offset that somewhat with bigger plays. Second half of the season he would be coached up and likely outplay Smith.

I thought he is just on one knee when he 'Tebows'...
Posted Wednesday March 14, 2012, About: Browns could set sights on Flynn
Browns problem is supporting cast, not QB. Even though McCoy seems to be an average QB at best, Flynn won't be any better than McCoy unless they upgrade around him.
Posted Saturday March 10, 2012, About: Peyton rejects Ryan's dysfunctional Jets
They should have something in common with last year... a lot of losses.
Posted Tuesday February 28, 2012, About: Among Welker's options: A stare-down with Pats
Based on past history of Pats hardline negotiations, Welker may accept their offer, but I doubt he will be happy with it.

He was not 6'10", he was 6'8" as previously indicated.
Posted Thursday February 09, 2012, About: Plax wants to play in Philly
Except for the Heat winning most of their games and making it to the Championship series and the Eagles looking lost and only having a sniff at the post season because no one wanted to win the NFC East, yep.
Posted Saturday February 04, 2012, About: Howard zeroing in on Nets
If he can hypnotize Kobe and make him think it's Game 7 of the Finals, he'll get 18 chances when Kobe only makes 6 of 24. Probably more since Kobe is shooting even more now.
Posted Saturday February 04, 2012, About: Finley wants WR contract from Packers
TO is getting paid zero from the NFL currently, as no one wants him. Williams is currently getting paid zero also, as he is an unrestricted free agent and likely no one wants him either.
