No one seemed to question his calls in the LSU game - oh we won that one! LOL So we aren't going to win 3 National Championships in 4 years - oh what shall we do?! Fire him? Let be real People! It was a great run for the SEC - unprecedented 6 in a row! (with 4 schools!)
What is there to argue? We lost, and truthfully, the media was the one making the Tide so "mighty" (see my post above.) Although, just because we lost to A&M, doesn't mean OR would have beaten us, they run the ball 80% of the time, we are strong on the run. It's the passing that killed us (in LSU and A&M.) I think people still think we were the team from last year, the team that had 6 draft picks in the top 33 picks. Hell, I'll take 2 NC in 3 years and a high runner up in the 4th year! :)
The SEC was down this year and, I'd say even returned to the level that the rest of the country plays. But over all, you can't argue that the SEC is the premier football conference. 6 National Champs in a row by 4 different schools? I belive the Big Ten has only 4 schools who have won a National Championship - in the existance of the conference (1930?) So, it speaks for itself!
It was a great run! All good things come to an end! Roll Tide!
At least we robbed some one else of "dethroning" the Mighty SEC! HA!
I'd rather have lost to a first year (and will add a very good) Texas A&M SEC foe than lose to a non-SEC team in Miami. After all, its been the media talking about how "mighty" we were. (This isn't anywhere near last year's Tide team.) I can't speak for Alabama fans each of you personally know, but I, personally, would never have ranked the Tide above No. 3. But I love the Tide all the same - Roll Tide! Bring on UGA, now they are a bunch of smoke and mirrors - Richt over Saban? It won't be a blow out, but it's not going to be all that close.
Yeah, I can see that too. He needs some bigger time program experience. I'll admit, I have a soft spot for him, his mom used to work with my mom when he was playing at the U (and my mom go to brag to his mom about Alabama whipping them for the Natl Title that year - ok, I know, a bit of regression....but it happens!)
Even if Auburn played their best, and we played our worst, I don't think Auburn has what it takes until they get a new coach. Chizik isn't a good coach. He'll probably retire because of health issues then show up coaching in another conference with less coaching competition. (deja vu?)
Interesting thought. I like it. I don't know if he'd be able to take AK to the national champ level in the SEC, but he'd certainly make it more competitive. Kind of like Richt at UGA - good, and competitive, but always manages to screw it up. (like this year - again)
Hey svt! Well, honestly, I didn't want to go to any of the Florida schools, wanted to get out of the state of Florida and Alabama has somewhat of a decent football program and overall fun time! (Thanks for not bashing the Tide - we'll see just how "front runnre" we are come next week v. AK)
Being a Dolphin fan (born and raised in Miami 45 years ago), he didn't ruin the Fins, they haven't been good in 30 years! I guess you never failed at anything either, huh? However, that's probably because you haven't tried to excel at anything! Ha! Roll Tide! Keep winning Nick!

Nice job Jimbo! I hope Saban did the same thing - that "Honey Badger/McCarron" tweeting contest was about as embarassing as walking around in Times Square wearing a tutu!
That's because Tebow has class and leaves a positive, lasting impression (oh, and let's not forget he went to Florida!) Cam well, can you even compare the two of them on a "classy" level?
Really? Only "one of them" won 6 National Championships?! Try FOUR teams won 6 years in a row - which makes this conference that much superior than any others past or present. Usually it's only one powerful team to dominate a conference (take USC, Nebraska, and you can even go as far back as Florida in the Spurier years, or Alabama in the 60's and 70's, etc. (don't forget, I'm talking CONFERENCE level here).
Roll Tide!

*pitches in $1 to help get a competitive coach - have you thought of looking at Minnesota for your next coach? LOL
What did they expect when they hired a coach that went 5-19......at Iowa St?!
He'll eat his words when the Tide comes calling.
I'll keep that in mind!
