IrishR#1... the article states he is returning to Texas with the INTENTION OF TRANSFERRING. Maybe you should read the article. While you think it is fine that he is transferring because he is not playing, don't think for a minute that other recruiters will not bring up to a potential recruit how ND might just drop you like a hot potato when the next great recruit comes along.
