Oh my hell, please don't let this happen. I hope that veteran GM didn't know what he was talking about. The DH is the worst thing that has ever happened to baseball. Managers don't have to manage and players can be one dimensional (almost part-time) players. It was a 100% gimmick when it was put in, because the AL sucked so bad. Any real baseball fan appreciates the decisions the NL managers have to make in regards to lifting a pitcher doing well for a pinch hitter late in the game. If you're into 10-9 games, watch softball.
