yea....much calmer in the rays house....good thing they dont have their #1 pick from 2003 anymore & still have a bunch of non-vets to not be immature?.....its friggin nature....there will be another eligha dukes in the rays clubhouse that pops up this season....i hope this one throws bats & abuses women, that would be great

everyone played with a second basemen like roberts, hes really not that great...but he does do a lot of the little things right....and just about when youre about to say he doesnt belong in the starting lineup, he does something like go 4-4....somewhat like a brown nose too....

anyways, i think the cubs dont really need this trade to happen....fontenot & theriot are just as good as roberts & might actually put out better seasons from here on out.

Its only the formula the Twins have always used.....

Sure it may be a bit rocky at first if Nathan is traded, but they also have a couple pitchers set to groom for setup & closing roles (i.e. Crain, Neshek).

They wont give him away for free, but they also arent looking to pay him what the market would once he hits free agency.

Come to the Twins Mike! You can DH almost every game & tell our young players how to hit! Plus you would give us a much needed right handed power bat to complement D. Young, Morneau, Mauer, Cuddyer, & gang....you should also get an adequate chance for rbi opportunities...at least more than the A's gave you last year!

Despite all the critics...I really dont think the Pirates SP is their problem....they actually have some good young talent....They just need some run support.

Ian Snell is a good example/barometer of their staff--heres a guy who posted great numbers last year, but b/c he was on a terrible hitting team, he lacked run support, and ended up with a losing record---eventually that took a toll on his motivation.

Maholm, Gorzelanny, and Duke each have showed sparkles of above mediocre stuff, much like Oliver Perez did before leaving the Pirates. Adding Matt Morris gives them a much needed veteran experience & a guy who knows how to succeed even when put on a weak hitting team.

This rotation really could probably compete for a top spot in the NL Central if they had any kind of hitting behind them...(though their bullpen needs lots of mending.)

it might take cutting inge in order to move him, but id much rather have adam everett on my team...

Its true both Inge and Everett struggle to hit over .250, and both are around 30 years old....

While Everett doesnt have as much power as Inge,
Adam costs less than half the amount of inge, typically strikes out less, has more speed, and is the leading SS as far as fielding % is concerned.

Personally, I'd much rather take Everett for 1 year.

the Phils should take him...they love signing people of David Bell type overrated semi-vet flops....

although, I do think Inge is slightly more talented than Bell ever was.

As for some of you discussing what to do with Wrigley Field as whether its too old or needs to be torn down....blah blah blah.

I think they should do what they did with Lambeau Field....renovate the shiz out of it & make it real nice!

They shouldnt tear it down--too much history (or lack of history) lol...plus it's location is great, I love how its like right in the middle of a neighborhood & people can watch games from their rooftops...It's one of a kind & has been for years & should be for years to come!

"Maybe it would be changed to "Old Style" (beer) Wrigley Field. Hey, actually that doesnt sound too bad."--(close to what he said atleast)

While I would like to see the name Wrigley Field stay...."Old Style Wrigley Field" has been about the best alternative I've heard....plus its pretty fitting!

regardless, Santana will have a great year this next season....where ever that may be. The Twins just arent budging without getting what they want. They could still probably make a trade near the deadline if their playoff hopes are that deminished.....and probably still get 1 or maybe 2 of the names/prospects being mentioned.....and who knows, maybe more teams making a late season run NEEDING a frontline SP will be interested in pulling the trigger on a deal for him.

maybe the twins think theyll be able to draft someone better than hughes or lester, etc. with the 2 draft picks theyll receive if they keep santana and then arent able to resign him.... just a thought. (cause they do get 2 draft picks in return if they dont resign santana----somehow....not quite sure how it works or what round the draft picks will be in though.)
