well what did the Pac 10 prove by beating a very young TN team not much after you look at them for the rest of their season. Was USC maybe the most impressive team at the end of the year? I would say yes. Did they desirve to play for the title? NO they got beat by stanford and no one that gets beat by stanford need to play for the title. As for USC and Arkansas. this goes back to what I said before about there are great teams in the other conferences. I am not tring to take that away. But would Oregon or Arizona State beat Georgia> I say No. what about Oregon State vs TN or Arkansas. If you are going to try to make a stand for your conference at lest compare apples to apples. you can not put the best team in the Pac ten against a 5th ranked form the SEC and make an argument. there is not one conference that could match up against the SEC from top to bottom. that is what the argument is about.

I am in the belief that there are only three real conferences in college football.
SEC, BIG 12 and the BIG 10. not to say that good teams do not come from the others. Boston college and VT had good season but the rest were very weak.USC and Oregon also but if you saw what happened to Arizona State you see what I am talking about or Hawaii. yes the SEC is the best right now there is no question about it. will it stay that way it looks that way at lest for one more year. If I had to give an order of best to worst it would be SEC, Big 12, Big 10, Pac 10, Big East, ACC after that there are a few good teams but way to close to call. By the way thank you Kansas for showing up when after the Oklahoma game I was about to lose all faith in the Big 12.

I am glad to hear that Jones looks to stay as I though that he would. as for McFadden and this whole deal about someone buying him an SUV. In almost every college town there are dealerships that will sell players a car based on there earning potentail. In this they get delayed payments or a lower payment untill they go pro. that is how he got his first car. Now I am not saying that this is the case all I am saying is before the McFadden bashing starts let wait and see what really happened. But I guess one way or the other it looks like his mind is made up about going pro.

I hope Baylor will give Nutt anything that he whats. I think that he could do a little bit of good down there. He is not the worst chose for the job. I how ever am not worried about Arkansas. They are an SEC team that is right there close to being very good a lot of coaches worth anything at all would love to take a shoot with a team like that.

we are going to struggle that is true. His record last year was good this year a little sorry. Arkansas has the talent to be a top 25 team but that has not worked and that is because even with the players that Arkansas has they are only as good as there coach. If he can not call the right play or use the players in ways that are the most productive then the great players are at a loss. The difference between last year and this year Mahlzan. He lead that offence and Arkansas was productive. this year we are back to just Nutt and well we see what we get. I am sorry for all of the great players that play for Arkansas and I hope that it works out for them in the draft this year.

when Nutt came to the U of A they were horrible (38-50-2 in the eight years before Nutt) he took a program and got them to win a little (64-44 seven bowl game and only three top 25 finishes in nine years) to say that Nutt is the best coach that Arkansas has had in 25 years is a little off Hatfield 55-17-1 six bowl games, and four top 25 finishes in six years. Holtz 60-21-2 six bowl games and four top 25 finishes three of which were in the top ten in seven years. I know that goes back a little far but it is in the same time peiriod. I also know that Arkansas was not in the SEC till 1991. Coach Nutt has let the players walk all over him they have had all kinds of player misconduct. Nutt is not the greatest thing that has happened to arkansas they will live after he is long gone I just hope that McFadden and Jones are not the one that are going to suffer because all Nutt knows how to do is run the ball. and one more thing to all of you that like the wildcat or wildhog formation that was not Nutt that came up with that that would have been Gus Malzahn. Malzahn is the reason that people are even talking about Arkansas football right now. He saw what kind of talent was on that team and he used it. Nutt has no idea how to use it but to use the plays that were taught to him last year bye Malzahn. If Malzahn were still at Arkansas McFadden would win the Heisman.

I have been waiting for this since his second year. I will be glad to get rid of the last of the good old boys so that Arkansas sports can start over. I do feel very bad for all of the talented ball players that are and have played while under nutt. AKA mcfadden, monk, both jones.
