You ever watch the mini-series "Lonesome Dove"? On of my favorite lines was something to the effect "Just once in my life, I want to shoot an intelligent man".
I'm knda like that with Tinny. It's refreshing to get insulted by an intelliegent man instead of a Blue Suit or Stupid Moron.
Therefore, I like to push his buttons, and this is the EASIEST button to push.
Besides, I do honestly see Petrino at Tenn in the near future. Great fit (except for his personality, ethics, etc)
Thoughts and prayers this morning to all the people in OKC. What a sad day for them. We play soccer overe ther a few times a year, and always find the people in the community nice and friendly.
Line should start with the A/D, HC in basketball, HC in baseball, and HC in football.
Truth of the matter, though, this would be bad news for the rest of us. Texas wouldn't be irrelevant in these major sports if it wasn't for the poor leadership.
UT should never miss the NCCAA tourney in baseball or basketball, and they should never be outside looking in @ bowls.....kinda glad the current regime is still there
Mom and dad are both college graduates (FSU). Who are you to say they can't afford to buy them for him?
If I knew my kids were getting a free ride and wouldn't need the college funds I have set aside, they'd be sporting some sweet cars, toys etc when they went to school.
NFL draft.....63 taken from the SEC, 22 from the Big 12. Last year 55 taken from the SEC, 31 from the Big 12.
Last 2 years, 118 NFL players from the SEC........53 from the Big 12.
The disperaty in these 2 leagues is real...not b/c of ESPN, but because of the talent that elects to play in the SEC. When you have twice as many pro players in your league than the others, you have a stronger league. I don't see why this is so hard to grasp.
Don't see SEC schools (outside of Kentucky) saying the strength of the ACC. Big East is exagerated. Look at the NBA draft & see where most of the pros are coming from......that's your best basketball conference.
CBB ought to have the same rules as college baseball. If you are good enough to go from high school, go. If you choose college, you have to stay 3 yrs.
And, if my son or daughter could go to college for 1 year and be qualified to take a job with @ $20 million in guaranteed salary, then I would support them 100% in that decision.
I don't get why this is viewed as distasteful by you and others who make this tired argument. There is nothing honorable about getting a degree in college if you don't need it to be successful.
I went to college for 6 years and will never be as successful as "drop-outs" like this guy, Bill Gates, etc. But am I more honorable, because I have a college degree and a Masters degree?
I don't know about you, but I'd trade both for @ $20 million in salary
I sent you a FM.

"Conceal and Carry Bowl" and "Who Shives a Git Bowl"
Punk move showing his Vah-Jay-Jay on limiting the release
Kansas is the Alabama of CBB
Sad day for sure......
Toss-up........
I forgot, sorry
Mike Hunt and Wes Lunt are roomates.....

Better for the kids and the sport.
