As I was watching the game against Tampa Bay I could not believe that he kept Campbell in the game for the second half. Shockingly, he ended up tossing a couple TD's together and help us get the W. I don't know. On defence we look like a top 10 team for sure. They are good enough to keep us in every game we have played thus far. If we could just get the offence to be middle of the road the Skins could actually be dangerous. Maybe an extra set of eyes can't hurt.
Posted Thursday June 25, 2009, About: Fisher: Titans RBs Dumb and Dumber?
I have to admit those 2 are a really good RB Combo but when they open their mouths they don't seem very swift at all. How bout we call them George Bush and Dick Cheney?
Posted Monday June 22, 2009, About: Source: Williams didn't have to lift with Lions
I think this is probably true. In fact I remember hearing multiple times last season was the first season in which Clinton Portis started lifting weights and he plays a position that is much more physical than WR.
Posted Sunday August 24, 2008, About: Will Giants reach out to Strahan?
Ouch! Losing Strahan and Osi is really going to hurt. As a Redskin fan I'm just thankful Jason Taylor is only going to be out for a couple weeks. After that pathetic display against the Panthers I'm looking for anything to be thankful for.
Posted Wednesday August 13, 2008, About: Who's leading 49ers QB race?
Shaun Hill sure looked efficient for the Niners at the end of last season. I know this is a new system and all but if I was a Niner fan, which thankfully I'm not I'd be pretty depressed in thinking O'Sullivan is even being considered for a starting job. A 3 way race for a starting QB position sounds like a bad problem to have because it basically means they all stink equally.
Posted Sunday August 10, 2008, About: Cribbs wants new Browns deal
Hilarious comment by SteelerinMD's. So true as well. The Steelers had brutal special teams last season as far as return coverage units.
Posted Sunday August 03, 2008, About: T.O.: From villain to team leader
Let's be honest. TO's first year in Dallas he was not exactly what I would call a model employee. So all the Cowboy fans are all excited and speaking about him like he's the ultimate teammate because of one year where he behaved himself. If for some reason there is hardship or bad times in Dallas then you might see his true colors. The team is pretty stacked so it's unlikely this will occur, but you never know. Perhaps Jessica Simpson will dump Tony Romo and then he will be so heartbroken he will be competing with TO in a crying contest. LOL The sad part is that his game would probably go in the toilet like final quarter of last season if it did happen.
Posted Sunday August 03, 2008, About: Walker tried to retire from Raiders
Man if this story is true then Al Davis should have called his lawyer immediately and let this guy retire before he changed his mind. I can't see this signing going well at all! I'm a Redskin fan and I thought the over inflated contract signing of Adam Archuleta could never be topped but this one is going to do it. At least the Skins were actually somehow able to unload Archuleta to the Bears. Good luck on anyone taking a flier on this guy.
Posted Monday July 21, 2008, About: Redskins expect Taylor for long-term
I think Jason Taylor with all his outside aspirations which show less dedication to football lately was doing these things to force a trade because he clearly is a guy who needs a change. I think he will play hard for the Skins and the fact that he had 11 Sacks on a team that almost went 0-16 is very impressive. He had very little help and still put up great numbers. If he gets 12 sacks this season and Andre Carter plays like he did last season the pass rush will be quite potent. As long as he plays 2 seasons this is a very good trade for the Skins.
Posted Sunday July 20, 2008, About: Giants: We deserve more respect
I agree that QB ratings might not give a true indication of how good a QB really is, however when your QB rating is in the low 70s that is an indication that there is alot of room for improvement. Eli's biggest problem is his low completion percentage and that he has had alot of turnovers. He DID however not have these problems down the stretch of the last season. I would have to say that had he not made this dramatic turnaround many people right now would be looking at him as a major disappointment. With this said, I was very impressed by what he did in that run but take away that stretch and you would have to say that the QB rating is accurate in depicting a QB who still needs to work on a few things. The good thing for Giants fans is that he likely will improve on these things.
Posted Sunday July 20, 2008, About: Giants: We deserve more respect
73.4 Career QB rating for Eli
92.3 Career QB raiting for Montana

Let's not get carried away with these comparisons. The only QB who deserves to be mentioned in the same breath with Joe Montana right now is Tom Brady.
Posted Sunday July 20, 2008, About: Giants: We deserve more respect
I'm not sure I agree with much of anything captcruzan had to say but I really don't think the stat that 50yearfan has provided here is anything to knock my socks off and say Eli Manning is an elite QB. Eli definitely played like an elite Qb for the last 5 games of the season but a career comes over an entire body of work. Perhaps Eli has gotten over the hump and will be a top tier Qb well into the next decade. It's entirely possible. However, I'll take a wait and see attitude because if you take away his last 5 games and look at his entire body of work he has played average at best football.
Posted Wednesday June 11, 2008, About: Simms wants out of Tampa Bay
Simm is medicore at best. He got 'good press ' a few years ago when the Bucs won a playoff game on a questionable call against Washington Despite his play, the Bucs got the victory. Nothing the next year lead anyone to believe that he is anymore than backup (except for Gruden). Trade him or let him go, whatever, best we will be is holding a clip board.

Razorskin | 06/11/08, 04:15 PM

Get your facts straight. The Skins won that game not the Bucs.

In any case I think the best place for him would be Chicago where he would definitely be the best QB on the roster or Carolina as I think Jake Delhomme is probably on the downside of his career. This guys probably going to be an above average starter. Anyone talking down about him should realize he hasn't even played a full season of starts in the NFL.
Posted Tuesday June 10, 2008, About: Redskins ask Portis to change ways
Someone should ask the Redskins to change their ways. I've never seen a team blow so much money and get so much hype, and totally underperform.

Have you been watching the Cowboys lately! All that money spent and nary a playoff victory to show for it.
Posted Thursday May 22, 2008, About: Nuggets willing to deal Iverson?
If the Raps could trade say TJ Ford and Bargnani for AI I would be down with that. Any deal that doesn't involve Bosh or Calderon to get AI would be considered a good move in my books.

Please man! Get yourself to rehab. This paragraph looks like it was written by Coco the Monkey. Stop embarrasing yourself. Go back to your room in your parents basement, get out your crackpipe, and plot how you are going to steal your neighbours hubcaps tomorrow night.

OK everybody. So I put this pile of monkey crap by I is the man into my Jibberish to English translator and I've come to the conclusion that he is probably either smoking crack or he simply has not gotten past a grade 2 level of reading and writing.

In any case the NFL is a league where there are not alot of easy wins. Yes the Cardinals and Dolphin games were not cakewalks but not every game is despite the level of competition. Did you not watch the SuperBowl and witness one of the biggest upsets of all time? You were probably out playing hopscotch with your imaginary friends. The only thing in despair around here is I is the man and his 7 Illegitimate kids.
Posted Monday May 05, 2008, About: Redskins rookie misses minicamp
I'd hardly say the Redskins are a franchise in despair. The Redskins played hard every week last season except for the debacle against New England. They did make the playoffs last season btw. This is not a big deal and you can't convince me that one day of oversleeping makes him a bad apple.
Posted Wednesday April 30, 2008, About: Why Redskins passed on Merling
I like the picks of Thomas and Kelly. I'm up in the air about drafting a Tight End. I don't know. I think the 2 wideouts were enough to fill the needs they had on offense. It was nice to get that extra draft pick and move back so the way I look at it is if Davis turns out to be great it's all gravy. Plus let's give the Skins some props for moving back to get that extra pick. As far as wideouts go it looks like they had to pick them in the 2nd round because there was a huge run on Wideouts in the 2nd Round. I still wish they tried harder to sign DJ Hackett that way we could have gotten a WO, a DL, and TE all in the 2nd round.
Posted Thursday April 24, 2008, About: Redskins may go after Williams
Don't really get it. On the Free Agency front the Redskins made moves last season that actually were excellent. Without acquiring Fred Smoot, London Fletcher and trading for Pete Kendall last year the Redskins would not nearly have been as competitive as they were and most likely would not have made the playoffs. They have been relatively quiet this offseason and have like 10 draft picks. It's not like there is a Wideout they can use with that first pick that would help them as much as Roy Williams or Anquin Boldin could. Although, I would not like to see Chad Johnson in a Redskins uniform myself I wouldn't mind seeing either Williams or Boldin. I think it would be a great move because WR is certainly their most pressing need right now.
Posted Monday April 21, 2008, About: Redskins want to trade down
This move probably makes sense for the skins. While they do need help in several areas and probably most specifically Wideout , D-Line and Safety I don't think there is anyone they can draft at that spot that is worth the pick that they can't draft later on in the 2nd or 3rd round. The post might make it sound like the Skins have a bunch of holes but really besides Receiver I think they are fairly deep in alot of areas. They already have 9 picks in this draft and if they can get another one and move up I think they will help thier depth in all areas for the next couple of years.
