I'm not sure what the point of this is but, Randy Moss wasn't even drawing that much attention in New England. I really doubt the Patriots would have traded him for a bag of balls that won't be delivered until sometime next year if they thought it was going to hurt their passing game. Say what you will about Deion Branch but he already knows that offense and I think he has more Super bowl rings than the guy he's replacing?

Actually I guess I was off by a bit, NFL kickers actually make less than 60% of kicks from 47 yards. Either way, blaming the kicker in that situation seems a bit unfair to me.

Well, from 47 yards that wasn't exactly a simple kick. I feel bad for Norwood because that's what he'll be remembered for his entire life and that's a distance that most NFL kickers only hit 75% of the time, or so. No blame for the offense not getting him any closer, just blame the guy who missed, no matter the distance.
