Posted Thursday November 26, 2009, About: Miami: Less Gators, more Bulls
Truly sad when you see a team that wants to remove a top football team in order to shave a potential loss and schedule some bottom feeder. That's what Florida wants to do.

Miami built themselves by playing anyone and taking a loss here and there in the 80s. Florida seems to think that the SEC is challenge enough.

Sad for us, the fans.
Posted Wednesday November 11, 2009, About: Miami commitment switching to Notre Dame?
Some things will die. Miami has changed much since then. When was the last story you read about drugs at the U? That stuff ended with Dennis Erickson.

I haven't seen Miami disgracing any team in years, except for the fight with FIU, who is also a cross town rival.

You may not like Miami, but the NFL sure does. Look how many UM players are playing in the league, and are also pro-bowlers at least once in their careers. You can't say that about the Irish since the early 90's.

It looks like someone just caught him...

As for the story, both programs are big time with lots of TV time and such and good educational opportunities.

But I don't see the upside for winning as great with the golden domers as I do with Miami.
Posted Sunday November 08, 2009, About: Source: Heat tried to dump Wright
Dorrell was a hold over from the next "Kobe-in-waiting-high-schooler" concept. Wright has always looked hesitant and un-confident in his years with the Heat. He just doesn't seem to have it. I don't blame the Heat for trying to unload him.

As a former FIU grad, I cringe at the though of this!
Posted Sunday November 08, 2009, About: Friend: Cavs should fear LeBron leaving
Why would Lebron really goto NY? Comparing the teams in Clev and NY it's not even close which one has more potential. Can NY put together a championship talent team behind him? Yes, but that may take some time to happen. If Lebron really wants the star treatment, then NY is the clear choice. But I don't get it, he would show the league that he's more interested in his off game success than on the court. Cleveland has proven that they are commited to building around him and trying to win the trophy now. To leave a good team to go to the Knicks with no proven recent success may backfire on him. Imagine the Knicks with him not winning much [playoff success] for the first few years; then imagine the wickedness of the NY press and fans...

As for the money issue. Lebron doesn't need anymore money. His sponser deals are huge as will his next contract be whereever he goes. Let's face it, he WILL get the max out deal. Lebron isn't Shaq and will not be able to do the movies [if you want to call them movies] but his star power can only fall from where it is now.
Posted Sunday November 08, 2009, About: Grizzlies: Iverson hasn't asked for trade
There is a good reason why a trade or waiver hasn't happened. AI has no other place to go. The off-season proved his worth, or lack there of. He won't be given a starting job [yet, injuries may prove this one worng]. AI needs to re-assess himself in the league and decide what he really wants with whatever NBA career he has left. Maybe that's why he is in this little walkabout.
Posted Sunday November 08, 2009, About: Campbell leaving Redskins
Sanchez hasn't even had a full season. It's too early to write him off.

As for Campbell, there's always the annual Raiders starting job open. Oh wait, no there isn't. Uncle Al thinks, no KNOWS, that Jabust Russell is the starter.

On the serious note, Campbell has some skills but does need to get the heck outta Washington. Teams like the Rams, Chiefs, and Bills may be a spot for him.
Posted Sunday November 08, 2009, About: Mangini scaring off GM candidates?
I'm sure someone's already said this [thread is too long read all the comments] but Mangina is scaring off not only GMs, but also any free agents-to-be too. Oh yeah, add in fans and sponser support too.

Silly childish things we do...
Posted Thursday November 05, 2009, About: Roethlisberger's accuser quits hotel job
Go on Brother! This type of behavior cannot be tolerated by the law. The police and the judges need to step in when there is no evidence showing a crime was commited but instead that the evidence shows that the victim is the man in this instant.

I don't know the evidence other than what's been 'reported' but I've read too much that shows this woman is most likely digging for the pot of gold.
Posted Thursday November 05, 2009, About: Cowboys' Williams blaming Romo?
OMG, this is so freakin' childish. Williams is getting beat by Austin because is the more reliable receiver. Romo should be commended for this.

If Williams wants balls to be thrown his way more, then get open more and catch them.

The hot hand gets the plays [take that any way you want to].
Posted Tuesday November 03, 2009, About: Problems inside Giants defense
Giants got exposed by playing against real NFL teams. Beating the Raiders doesn't mean squat. The 120 lbs team down the street can stop the Raiders offense.

The Giants built some wins against the bottom feeders and now they're just an average football team.

Tough luck G-men, just the way it goes.
Posted Saturday October 31, 2009, About: Ginn: Dolphins didn't reprimand me
Wasn't it "Wildcats"? Gonna check imdb...

Nope, it's The Best of Times.

Nice flick, I liked it when they handed him the keys..
Posted Saturday October 31, 2009, About: Ex-girlfriend questions A-Rod's art
I can't afford it but I've always dreamed of a Toiltaur, which is myself merged with a toilet. My wife says she already sees that daily....

Now she wants to use the art money for a new kitchen... lucky me.
Posted Saturday October 31, 2009, About: Ginn: Dolphins didn't reprimand me
Ginn reminds me of Robin Williams in that football movie.

Ginn needs to understand something: Great ballers don't need outside motivation, it comes from within.
Posted Saturday October 31, 2009, About: Vikings coach dressed in drag
Brad, you should leave the wig on --> ultimate toupee!! [sp?]

Brett should be out wearing his costume: Benedict Arnold with the correct spelling on the back "Farve".
Posted Saturday October 31, 2009, About: Jets, Dolphins feud heats up
Like a moron, I was actually trying to decifer the first '3' words...

As for the topic: Jets-Dolphins rivarly doesn't need any hype. It's one of the bitterest rivalry's in sports. Good stuff, can't wait to watch the game.
Posted Saturday October 31, 2009, About: GM blames cap for Red Wings woes
Poor baby. Learn to deal with it. Hire a coach that actually coaches players to be better rather than relying on buying up the talent upfront.

Take a good look at football. The best teams make their players better.
Posted Tuesday October 27, 2009, About: Why Raiders benched Russell
Biggest bust ever. Worse than Leaf IMO. Russell being the 1st overall and can't even throw a consistent 10 yard slant equates to the largest bust ever. What a waste of 30 million; and that's just the bonus to sign his name; granted that he could sign his name.

Russell has had plenty of time to showcase his 'skills' and learn, but he can't even get the fundamentals like footwork, pocket pressence, simple route throwing ect...

What a waste. The NFL needs a rookie salary cap to stop this absurd over-spending for players that havn't proven they even belong on the field with the pros.
Posted Wednesday October 14, 2009, About: Reports: Brady Quinn's house for sale
Jamarcus Russell is the worst starting QB I've ever seen. And given the fact he was the overall top pick makes him the biggest bust ever in the NFL, surpassing Leaf in my book.

Quinn would be an upgrade for the Raiders. Shoot, even Babe Laufenberg would be an upgrade.
