I agree that the Braves overpaid for Tex. They should not magnify that by getting less in a trade.....unless, of course, they can get top dollar, which I doubt.
The bottom line is that with the Mets choking as per usual and the Marlins a bit young, the division is wide open. I see the Phightin' Phils as the only real competition come September.
All those players maybe had one good year in them when they left. Now they are they are DL candidates or out of baseball.
In fact the Braves have a history of letting players go just before the "big slump," Can you say, Andruw Jones?
I think the Braves are pretty savvy Salary Cap players. A smart team would let any Boras player go and collect young talent in return.
