Who cares? If the boys make the playoffs it's most likely one and out (business as usual). SF has been irrelevant too long, so even a one and out is a huge step in the right direction. I would say SF is much more overrated because their last glory was in 94, that's 17 years ago, years in which they have slowly gone down and then took a dive to the bottom of the mediocre barrel. Yet they have kept a fanbase that acts as if this year their Montana clone is ready to take the field.
I think that much to my dismay, the Jets will make it to the playoffs. If Baltimore beats SD this weekend and Steelers do rest their injured people, including Ben, then the game against the Bengals will be sort of meaningless and they might want to give their starters a good rest. If SD beats Baltimore, then they'll play hard til the last week.
Their season is almost done, what do they have to lose? Worst case scenario, they get in a better draft spot. If things keep going as they are, the Seahawks will take one of those W.C. spots, as weird as that sounds.
Tebow is winning the games, that is a sure thing, but it's that scary D that's keeping them within range. Miller and Dummervill are monsters, Bailey seems to have found the fountain of youth that Woodson found so he's back to Bailey Island mode.
Both surprises I agree with. I think not many people outside of Philly or the media actually believed the Eagles were contenders and not pretenders. We have seen the Washington model burn up too many times to trust FA spending. Atlanta on the other hand...I expected them to give the Saints a run for their money and for that to be the most competed in NFC division, instead the Saints are cruising it for an easy divisional crown and they are not even the juggernaut they were on their superbowl year. Atlanta and Tampa Bay really let their foot off the pedal and will most likely not make it to the playoffs with the NFC North being the really tough and unpredictable one. It'd be a delightful surprise if the NFC North sent 3 teams into the playoffs.
Don't let the faithful Tebowites read you saying "I don't think many people believe that Tebow is that good of a player." Some of them truly believe that Tebow has the same abbilities that Manning has plus he can run better than Adrian Peterson.

Rivers is most likely hurt and hasn't told anyone. Or maybe his decline started earlier. Remember Daunte Culpepper?
