Posted Saturday December 14, 2013, About: Snyder-Shanahan rift began with drafting RGIII
I knew it! After the open contempt he showed for Donovan McnNabb during his brief stint with the REDSKINS, I always wondered why Shanahan would draft RG3. Now I know why - he didn't.
Posted Sunday December 01, 2013, About: Head of officiating wants consistency with catch rulings
No, the fans know exactly what a catch is; it's the refs and competition committee who don't. The rule needs to be simplified, clarified and made uniform for both touchdowns and completions: Control - two feet down and in bounds - end of story. What "football moves" and control out of bounds have to do with anything, I do not know.
Take it from someone who grew up playing soccer; you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Honestly, he could be right. When you have top flight players like Tom Brady and Kurt Warner saying they don't want their kids playing football, it may be indicative of a sea-change in national attitudes towards the sport. Every year 18 to 24 kids are either killed or paralyzed simply playing the game at the high school and college level. A worrying prospect for any parent. Many pro players are human wreckage after their careers end. Have you seen and heard Bernie Kosar recently? All of this combined with a growing knowledge of the effects of concussions - an unavoidable part of the game - and Mr Barney may indeed be more right than he knows.
Posted Monday June 03, 2013, About: Raiders fire PR director over unflattering story
The RAIDERS have no management, no direction, no plan, no clue and no hope. We need a rebellion in the nation and we need it soon.

Good question!

Now, when he says special....
Posted Wednesday April 17, 2013, About: Joe Montana's son will workout with 49ers
Brady said he doesn't want any of his children to play football.
Posted Tuesday April 16, 2013, About: JaMarcus Russell likely won't get 2nd chance
Once the regular season starts and starting quarterbacks start dropping like flies, he'll probably get his shot. What he does with it is entirely up to him; I'm not optimistic.
Posted Wednesday December 05, 2012, About: Oakland Raiders in talks with Jon Gruden
As a RAIDERS fan I find the George Lucas simile a bit scary when you consider how dreadful those alleged prequels were. If he does come back to the RAIDERS, I hope Gruden does a better job than Lucas did.
Posted Sunday November 18, 2012, About: Andy Reid: Michael Vick didn't let Eagles down
I think all this talk about Vick's "concussion" is simply a face saving way of gently easing him out of Philly and into the new phase of his NFL career as a journeyman backup. Vick has all the God given talent in the world - which is fine in college but useless in the NFL unless accompanied by a strong work ethic. Something I think Mr Vick lacks. I hope he proves me wrong one day.

Sorry - I meant to write Vince Young.

So sorry. I meant Vince Young!

Turner will be out of the league and I like the idea of Gruden in Phily. Rivera and Newton are building something special in North Carolina as long as Newton doesn't go Steve Young on him.
Posted Thursday November 08, 2012, About: What about Gruden in Philly?
JJ is just the person to make it happen. Call me crazy (and a few of you have) but I can see, at least one, if not all of those guys in Dallas next season: If Romo and Garrett don't get their act together.

Didn't I tell you to stay on the meds?
Posted Thursday November 08, 2012, About: What about Gruden in Philly?
I don't know about about Gruden in Phily but I do know Andie Reid will be in Dallas next season. And he may want to take Vick with him to back up and eventually replace Romo. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Vick, Reid and Tebow all ended up in Dallas next season.

A pun so bad, it's actually good.

And how many of you got my MILLENNIUM reference? What a great show that was.
Posted Saturday September 15, 2012, About: Source: Cowboys motivated to extend Tony Romo
For the team's championship hopes - probably but who can tell with Tebow. He's still an unknown quantity. For Jerry's bank balance, it would the beginning of a new age. I'll eat my hat if he hasn't or isn't thinking about it. And I wear a size 8 + hat.

As Lara means would say - Here's my thing. Jerry Jones is a business man. He's all about the bottom line. Can you imagine what bringing Tebow to Dallas would do for said? It would be like the circus, the second coming, christmas and a massive rebate from the I.R.S. all rolled into one for him. The publicity alone would be worth it. Imagine it - Tebow, quarterbacking America's team in Jerry World - A.K.A. Cowboys Stadium. Jones would make bazillions! Winning a superbowl? Pah!!! That would be a piffling trifle in comparison - gravy at most.
