Why would Jerry Stackhouse feel that Collins deserved another contract? Coming out or not means nothing in getting contracts. Kudos for being yourself, but 3.6 points career average, with just 0.7 point average for his 12th season, it's going to be difficult for ANY team to justify spending any cash on him.
Contracts should be based on your age and ability, period. I'm still scratching my head as to why the Lakers gave a 3 years contract to a 40 years old Steve Nash..... FORTY YEARS OLD!!
Lakers pulling the trigger on the amnesty would be terrible PR, and it would make Mark Cuban giddy with joy as he points at EVERYBODY and yell: "I TOLD YOU SO!!"
Kobe is a freakishly competitive dude. He will most likely work himself back into game shape by the start of next season. Or, if it's going to really take a year, he should ASK to be amnestied so that he can help out his team, take the entire year to become fearsome again, and sign with the Lakers for 2014-2015 season. He's still going to get paid, but he is going to REALLY help out his team. Yes. HIS TEAM.
Yeah, I am going to let my boss know that I won't show up at work during the busiest few weeks of the year. I am sure he'll understand. It's, you know, a medical condition thingy.
I agree with MMAFan. This guy is just a clown. The Rockets bent over backward for him already. They even tried to send him to the development league so that he can continue to sharpen his skills without having to travel much. But I guess that was "beneath" him to play for the development league...
Annual salary that's nearly as much as D'Antoni's entire 4 years contract. Personnel decisions. Successor decisions. GM powers. Ownership stakes. Right to get into the pants of owner's daughter... (Oh wait, he's got that already)
Jim Rome asked an inappropriate (and extremely rude) question on air. How do you think Stern SHOULD reply? Personally, I would have replied in far less civil manners.
I am not a fan of Stern. But crucifying him for this is a joke. Much more anger should be directed at Jim Rome for his horrible line of questions.
I thought the Lakers' nightmares were over when they finally shed Luke Walton's dumb contract. Well, I guess there will be a LOT more changes coming this summer.
Yeah, the Taiwanese media is notoriously bad. They hound you relentlessly, and they ask you dumb questions repeatedly until you crack and get mad at them.
Example: The Taiwanese reporters who swarmed Kobe Bryant before and after his loss to the Knicks. Kobe was not really aware of Lin, and for good reasons (Lin mostly warmed benches in the past), but those reporters made it sound like Kobe was an arrogant idiot. After the game, those reporters drilled Kobe endlessly on what he would advice Jeremy on his games. Seriously? Talk about "timings", people!
In any case, totally love Jeremy Lin's rise as a solid player. Sorry Lakers (team for my home city), that I actually cheered for NYK when you two played... I promise I won't cheat on you like that again! (At least for the rest of this season)
Via text? No wonder the Clippers failed to get this guy. The rep from the Knicks flew in personally, and went with Smith to Vegas so that he can continue to chew on his ears. Del Negro, on the other hand, acted like a 17 years old girl and just TEXTed Smith. Dear Del Negro, stop acting like a high school girl and show some REAL intentions!!

So the title of this story goes: "Nash: Howard, not Kobe, L.A.'s anchor"
Really? That's like someone who proclaimed his love for beef, and then the media would post an article saying that guy HATES pork.
Damn. ESPN's writing staff is worse than tabloids...
Bibby is NOT the answer!!
Seriously? It's a VERY EXPENSIVE franchise to own. What makes you think that the owners is just going to GIVE it away for FREE?!
If Phil Jackson wants to own it, he better come up with some sick amount of pennies that he's saved up over the years!
What do you think would happen, Phil?
You asked for WAY too much!!

Seriously, don't get greedy.
He's gonna end up as decoy for the other decoys with the Heats...
Boston offered him more than 2x the money, but he decided to paint the team as belittling him and being mean to him. Oh boo hoo hoo.

By the way where IS Parker nowadays?
OH WAIT! I forgot that you are NOT signed by ANY team!!
