What in the world makes him a poor man's Verlander? There will be nothing poor about this guy. He wants $50 million right off the bat. He is the rich man's Verlander. Plus, even though Verlander was ranked highly coming into the MLB, Strasburg is rated higher. People are expecting him to be one of the top pitchers in the league.

UNC will have an amazing and deep frontcourt next year with three or four potential lottery picks in it, but if they don't get Wall (and I don't think they will), their backcourt will be a huge question mark. Dexter Strickland looks like its going to take him a season or two to develop into a solid starter and Larry Drew hasn't looked like a top flight guard in the playing time he got this year. Ginyard should be back to his awesome self, but they will have no one proven coming off the bench.

All of this adds up to...Terps ACC Champs 2010!!! (Hoping Duke doesn't get Wall)

who cares if a guy barely made a team or is just an average quarterback? if these guys have accomplished what they have with less talent then everyone else, isnt that reason to give them all the more praise?

winning is all that matters in competitive sports-what is better, having a passer rating of 100 or a winning record? how you win doesnt really matter as long as you win-which these guys have (still a little too early to put romo in any "all-time" category tho)

kobe can win anywhere in the east and bulter has blossomed into a great player since kobe last played with him and they would do great together.

rosenberg- kobe is already a star. anywhere he goes hes going to continue to be a marketing bonanza and in a city like washington he will do fine. It is hard to become a star in washington though, as arenas is trying to do. Arenas needs to move to a big city in order to break through and become one of the faces of the NBA. they are in two completely diff situations

not gonna happen but kobe and buss should really consider the wizards. kobe for arenas, jamison, and a couple of draft picks. youd need to throw in kwame to match the salaries but he is only on for another year so wash wouldnt have to deal with him again for long. arenas wants a bigger market (aka, LA) and jamisons $16 mil is gone after this year leaving LA more than enough cash to sign arenas to a long term deal.

Kobe should consider this for a few reasons:
1. washington is one of the 2nd tier big markets, (after LA, chicago and new york) and still a good place for exposure.
2. kobe can win anywhere in the weak east, and wash has a few underrated pieces which would make that easier: namely stevenson, bulter (a future star), songaila and young

LA should consider it cause arenas is a potential superstar. He has done good recently for a 2nd tier market and he has the personality to get huge. He is also the type of superstar you need in the west to win-he utilizes the players around him and is a team player. with bynum, odom and the rest of the young talent they have there, they could be contending again in a couple of years (especially with duncan, nash and dirk getting old)

chambers has shown flashes of brilliance and now that he actually has a qb who can regularly get the ball to him maybe we'll see more than flashes. and however much i cant stand the chargers, this could be one of the best moves theyve ever made and could put them into contention with the colts over who gets to lose to the pats in the championship game

chambers is a very good receiver who may actually do something now that he has a qb and supporting cast around him. however much i hate the chargers, this could be the best move theyve made since trading the #1 pick to the falcons for LT

the lakers arent going to be trading him soon. maybe if they have a terrible first half they trade him this year, but otherwise theyll milk him for another year and then if it looks like they cant resign him, theyll dump him out east. kobe should consider somewhere other than chicago or new york. he can win the east consistently with any team in the east and no matter what they say, any gm in the east would take him. doesnt matter tho cause whatever team hes on he wont be winning championships until duncan nash and dirk are all gone-even then it might be too late with oden and durant
