There was 3 or 4 games this year were I said what are you doing. After the all-star break the Brewers were up 6-1 on the cards I think. He brings in Linebrink in the 7th. 2 quick ground outs and a quick strike out. He then brings in a couple guys who I never heard of in the 8th and they get torched.
The gas is added to the fire when Turnbow comes in, finally, Cordero comes in and gives up the lead. The last 2 pitchers needed rest. Linebrink really hadn't pitched much that week and his 7th went quick. I understand what Yost was thinking, but damn, I want to win a pennant.
