Your lack of intelligence is beginning to show in your posts... You might want to think before you type from now on guy...

He needs to stay in the AL, so he can DH...
ChiSoxFan,
It should be fun to follow, for isn't he one of the few "good clean guys"...
7
You're really reaching if you want Willie from UGA... He's a decent recruiter in the state of Florida, but the total defense has regressed every year since he took over... He wouldn't be missed... Not to mention, that would open the DC job up for Garner... So, go for it!
7
I believe the point at the beginning of this discussion was that UGA "was" more talented at most positions at the beginning of the season... But, due to injuries, most fans realized that UGA was outmatched in the trenches, which is truly where the game is won...

You're not talking about the UGA baseball program, are you?

The only reason Woody is still here is that he can say that we have improved every year... He's right, we have improved every year, BY 3-7 GAMES! This team clearly underachieved this year... Another excuse he will be given is that we took Boston to a game 7... That's true, THANKS TO THE PACKED OUT ATLANTA ARENA! What happened when we went to Boston... WE GOT BLOWN OUT! Didn't it seem like there was no motivation? I look towards the coach in that instance... If you can't motivate your team, at least in the GAME 7, then you don't deserve to stay...
Also, someone up there trashed the Hawks by calling them the worst NBA franchise... First off, every team has gone through bad years... What was Boston's record last year? Secondly, if we were the worst, why don't we have the #1 pick? Your statements lack substance jgb! Go back to the campfire and try to hook up with another 13 year old...
And lastly, those that think the only coach out there is Avery Johnson, don't forget about Van Gundy, Fratello, maybe Terry Porter or Del Harris... All of those coaches have GAMEPLANS... Something that Woody clearly lacks... If, and this is a big if, Woody does stay, he better get some assistants that have knowledge of offensive and defensive gameplans (X's and O's)... Otherwise, you can bet your bottom dollar that he will be canned halfway through next season...

Joe Johnson is not a ball hog. He averages 5.8 assists per game, he is not a selfish player. That is why he made the all star game, because he is very versatile.

Man, did you see Philips Arena during the playoffs? That is the reason they won the HOME games... It was PACKED!
And I never said that JJ was a ball hog... I said he love Woody because the offense always runs through him... And a majority of the time, it's Joe's show on offense... I have a feeling you never watched a Hawks game, did you?
And Jay L, Billy King had nothing to do with this team... Billy Knight did... There are rumors out there that Billy King is going to be the next GM... If that happens, back to the cellar we go!

The Hawks have a chance to land a coach with HEAD COACHING EXPERIENCE right now... Avery, Mike, Jeff, Rick... Need I go on...
What happens next year when their record improves by another 5-7 games? Will everyone finally realize that the Hawks are underachieving?

You did see his missing gameplan in Boston right?
7
I'm not trying to justify Knight's moves, but he did leave this franchise better off than when he got here... Also, you have to feel somewhat sorry for the guy not have enough control to make the moves necessary to make the team better... Yes, he will always be remembered for passing on CP3, Deron, and Brandon, but he did what he thought was best, again I'm not saying he did good, far from it... But, he left on the high point of his time here... Remember he drafted Horford, who is a stud, Acie, who is the future, Childress, who is productive off the bench, and Josh Smith, who has unlimited potential... Also, he wouldn't have drafted a 6'8-6'10 player this year... We don't have any draft picks...
PS... Woody is not the answer... Young players can't get experience while riding the pine!
7
Man, I need more coffee!
7
I don't consider get a 5-10 wins more a season a good coaching job... Especially with the kind of talent he had this year... Any other coach, minus Isiah, would have coached this team to a 5 or 6 seed during the season... And the only reason the Hawks won those 3 games in Atlanta is because the city lifted the team... When the city wasn't there, neither were the Hawks... That's on the coach....
7
Huh?
7
Can I use the "Conspiracy Theory" too? My team is the Atlanta Hawks... So how does it go? Since the NBA wants to make more money and push the LA-Boston Finals Series, my team had to lose to Boston.... Is that right?
Give me a break!
