If the Suns had spent money to keep the talent they had and kept the draft picks they traded for cash considerations and future picks, they might have won a championship. If Mark Cuban owned the suns and had kept the rights to Luol Deng, kept Marion, kept Joe Johnson, and added through free agency we all know they would have been a force. Steve Nash was great and is now very good, with an owner fully supporting the team he would have a ring by now.
