Hensley Muelens just couldn't hit in the bigs. He's a fine coach, but even though I heard it from you first, I can't believe it's credible. What is the comparison between "Bam-Bam" and Puig. Puig has already out done Hensley's career stats.

Dez Bryant made the big 12 all academic second team for football in 2008. The Big 12 wouldn't dare look into their all academic team, but that does not make him an Academic All-American
Posted Friday June 14, 2013, About: Asked if he wants to stay, Lee says he wants to win
Why would a team take on 25 million a year for 3 years and give up top prospects for a really good 35 year old pitcher? The Phillies are paying 25 million a year to have a shot at winning every fifth game. They will deal him to anyone who will take the contract.

Posey, Crawford and Belt, plus undrafted signee Sandoval, I would say this article is really stoopid.

Even though the St. Jim Valvano has gone on, he had lots of troubles in his effort to win at all costs. They were all glossed over by the media once he became a part of it and that's the way it goes. Ray Lewis is going to ESPN.

Carl Pavano had an amazing run with the Yanks, 9-8 with an era over 5.00 for a 3 year 40 Mill contract.

I don't know who wins the stupid contest here: The Spurs just won 20 games and finally got beat by a really good OKC team on OKC's home court and some morons are saying Popovich has lost it and doesn't know how to coach and trying to slander him because he has had alcohol problems. The other whackjobs are talking about "phoney Phil". I wonder if they realize that there are other teams in the NBA that have 2 or 3 all-stars who don't win championships. Only a complete idiot would not give Phil some credit for winning 11 championships in 20 years. If it was just Jordan and Pippen then Doug Collins might be the Hall of Fame winningest coach ever. It's a toss-up any of you little fellows want to tip the balance.
Posted Monday May 21, 2012, About: Time to panic with Tim Lincecum
He looked really good for the first 3 innings, then he threw a few bad pitches and caught a bad break on a play, walk, dink, bloop, smash 4-2 Tim gets the hook. If I had one of those psyciactery degrees, I'd say he's got a little panic in him when things start to go bad. I think he needs to win an ugly game or two. Has anyone noticed that, except for a slight 2 inning 12 ER hiccup, A J Burnett has 5 legit quality starts. 1.95 ERA if the blot is removed.
Posted Wednesday May 16, 2012, About: Why the Cubs won't win at Wrigley ... ever
The cubs have a pretty crappy team. There is always at least one gaping hole, and management is prone to making huge mistakes. Over the years, a number of hitters have had hall of fame careers at Wrigley. I imagine if the Cubs and the Yankees switched jerseys right now, the new Chicago team would win the NL Central, and the new New York team would finish dead last in the AL East.
Posted Monday May 07, 2012, About: Concussion problems could doom football
How many people box versus play football? How many schools; elementary, middle, High School and college have boxing teams. Football has gotten more violent, in that everyone is trying to put that bone-crunching hit on someone. When I played high school football I had no idea what I was doing to my brain, but I know now, and my kids play baseball, basketball, tennis and cross country and that's the way it's going to be. There is no sense in giving your child a handicap when you know better.

I'll tell who Boston needs, the red hot Barry Zito. He could make everyone forget Lackey.
Posted Wednesday April 25, 2012, About: Scouts wonder: Is Lincecum breaking down?
Dontrelle Willis had one pretty good year,a mediocre year, a good year, a mediocre year, then bad, then worse then so long. Dontrelle had a better rookie year than Tim. There are no career stats of Dontrelle Willis' that are comparable to Tim Lincecum's. They both have at least on "i" in their last name. That's about as close of a similarity as you can logically come to.

All you have to do is tie up 100 Million dollars for a year, invest it with someone who can guarantee at least a 10% return every year. take the 100 mill back, and with the first year's returns pay the contract for the next 29 years. and you still have the interest left over. It's simple. Don't the Wilpons know anyone who could help them out??

I am sure if Jorge starts hitting 350+ and smashing some HRs he can move back up the order. He is lucky that a more productive player like say, Milton Bradley, isn't available. Jeez, I hope Cashman doesn't see this
