Posted Monday June 13, 2011, About: NASCAR's latest 'secret' penalty
Just some of the typical inconsistencies that NASCAR has become. But what isn't secret is sweet innocent Kyle Busch and his team got docked six points for failing the post race inspection at Pocono. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I still say Richard Childress deserves a Commuinity Service award for taking care of business. I recognize Kyle Busch is a very talented driver, but still has a long way to go in becoming a "Man", even if Mike Helton and the glass house bunch wants to protect their "Golden Boy" who keeps bringing in the bucks. Way to go Richard! You are the MAN!
Posted Monday June 13, 2011, About: LeBron felled by nerves
Glad to see Dallas finally get their due. They earned it! Now as to the Heat, I'm not ready to throw LeBron James under the bus, unless you include Dwayne Wade, Chris Boss and their Coach. I personally believe this is a failure of the Head Coach's inability to manage the big three, whose heads are all big ones. Sure Lebron is gonna say it's not all my fault because it isn't. Basketball is a "Team Sport" and those other highly paid guys like Wade and Bosh didn't do their jobs either. Lebron James probably deserves to be kicked around, but Pat Riley miscalulated just how difficult it would be to corridinate three big time fat heads, so much so that the big three weren't impressive and I think those guys ought to give Riley back some of those big bucks as they looked like three overrated clowns being taught how to play as a team by the Dallas Mavericks. To be clear, I'm not going to shed a tear for Lebron in the slightest. He also got his due.
Posted Thursday June 02, 2011, About: IndyCar turning into NASCAR?
They can make all the back room deals they want. Except for the Indy Race, the IRL is on it's last leg. I mean they've copied everything they can think of off NASCAR races, and except for the ovals, they ****! They are nothing but a parade, sxpecially the city street stuff that just can't seem to shed it's boredom. And if Danica leaves for NASCAR, the IRL will REALLY be suckin even more, if that is even possible. They must be hopin the new car bodies for next year will instill some life. Face it, the IRL lack spozazz.
Posted Thursday June 02, 2011, About: GoDaddy owner to support Danica if she moves to NASCAR
Another quiter! Cute like the last one. But it is apparent it is ALL about money because no matter how great she may look, Jr stands a better chance of winning than does Danica. And that hold true for Indy Car just like NASCAR. But I guess you can't blame a gal for wanting to cash in like all the other 2nd place drivers in the sport. Sure does beat some of the ugly dudes driving these days.
Posted Monday May 02, 2011, About: Montoya, Newman don't like each other
The way I see it this time, Newman was the one that started the crap early in the race when he hit Montoya and his car got wrecked. The problem (as I see it) is who knows whose turn it is to pay the other back from last race. Newman is no angel and neither is Montoya. This reminds me of the Kezelowski/Edwards thing that went on and on until NASCAR had enough. BNut NASCAR is hesitant to do anything for fear they'll loose more viewers and fans. I say let them have it it until one causes other innocent drivers to wreck as a resul of their love fest. When and if that happens, park both the 42 & the 39 for 10 laps and see how they like it.
Posted Tuesday April 19, 2011, About: Earnhardt's no fan of two-car drafts
Jr may not like the two car draft, but Jimmie loves it, especially when Jr is the pushing car. Having said that, IMO the old style was alot more exciting.
Posted Saturday April 09, 2011, About: Montoya has heard Raikkonen rumors
Looks like Kyle may be on to something as Kimi matched Kyle's laps times the other day in a truck. Not bad for an Open Wheel guy.
Posted Saturday April 09, 2011, About: Montoya has heard Raikkonen rumors
IMO, Mark Martin has had a great and wonderful accomplished career. But like everyone, age catches up with you no matter how fit you keep yourself and how much you work out. And response time slows no matter what because age does that to people. Winning is everything in NASCAR because it equates to $$$$. SO it's time for Mark to park it with applause for all the thrilling years he gave to the fans. No matter the number of top tens Mark still provides, time for the younger group to take the seat of the 5 car. Go join DJ in the booth and provide your commentary which is still avaluable commodity these days in NASCAR.

Oh yeah.... sure we believe that one! And you claim to be a Firefighter? Sure you are! Its more like you start crap and then somebody has to come bail you out. That axe you are wielding sure didn't come off any Fire Truck I ever saw and I've been around a bunch of 'em. Go sulk and talk trash elsewhere. Nobody believes you anyway.
Posted Friday March 11, 2011, About: NFL, NFLPA spokesmen take sniping to Twitter
Something I found noteable throughout these Union vs Owners contract negotiations is the role that Commissioner Roger Goodell has played. I believe as Commissioner, he should have not been an advocate for the Owners as he clearly has portrayed himself as being, but should have worked hard to see that both sides got a fair shake and that a deal would be struck. To say his conduct and he is a disappointment, is an understatement. It appears the major sticking point were those records of past years income to the owners that they refused to produce. Now I'm not at all advocating the Owners role over and give the players everything they want, but why not hand over the paper the players union ask for? My suspicion is obvious that the owners have been making a killing and parting with any portion of that "killing" is a no no. And there, my friends, is how millionaires get richer and we the fans get screwed at the ticket booth.
Posted Monday February 28, 2011, About: Gordon relishes beating Busch
Any day that a Hendricks car beats a JGR car is a GREAT day. And I recognize that Rowdy is a good and gifted driver, but that race just goes to prove there is always someone just a bit better on any given day.

WEll I see the blog has changed over to nothing short of a advertisement and Garage Sales center. Real nice touch SI! What a bunch of CRAP!

My thoughts exactly! Why the heck does NASCAR constantly screw with things that don't need fixin?
Posted Sunday February 20, 2011, About: Danica's last run at NASCAR?
Get serious people! NASCAR isn't going to let Danica Patrick go anywhere, even if she finishes last in every race. She's nothing more than a garrantee for Brian Frances' monthly paycheck. I mean who would most fans want to watch race more...Sam Hornish Jr or Danica Patrick? I'd pay to watch Danica race whereas we've already seen that Hornish isn't good enough to be a serious NASCAR CUP contender regardless of his Open Wheel success. I believe fair is fair, but I'm convinced that Danica is way too much of a crowd draw for even that idiot Brian France to let her go. In Danica's case, it isn't whether she car drive or not, even though I absolutely believe Ashley Force Hood could beat Danica in every race they drove. And no BJ80, I don't hate Danica...quite to the contrary. I just don't believe she's as good a driver as some folks think she is. But then every week we see a field filled with talented race cars drivers who simply aren't good enough to beat the usual group of 15 - 20 favorites.
Posted Saturday February 05, 2011, About: Ragan faces make-or-break year
Ragan is another Nationwide talent driving a Cup Car. I don't need another season to show me that. He flat ain't good enough! Nuff said!
Posted Wednesday January 26, 2011, About: Harvick on new 'Dega-tona' asphalt
JK,
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the tests were as much for tire testing as well as resurfacing testing. Those speed laid down by the Gibbs' bunch sound good, bit I doubt that is REALLY their top ends. Personally, if all the hulabaloo is on, I'd expect to see several 205's being laid down by the top contenders in the next few weeks right before the race. Now again, with all the rhetoric that has been floating around, I'm wondering how much drag has actually been added in an attempt to slow down the cars regardless how many wide they go. So all the speculation by the news media hype doens't mean jack to me until the boys hit the track for Pole Qualifying and then we'll get a more realistic idea of what the track can really produce in terms of speed. But all that still won't mean hardly anything until "go time" comes up with say 10 to go. Now that is what most of us live to see at Daytona (and I don't mean the crashin)!
Posted Tuesday January 25, 2011, About: Harvick on new 'Dega-tona' asphalt
JK,
I too am pleased to see Brian Vickers back in his ride. And though I haven't see any of the speeds recorded during testing, I'm wondering if any of the guys are truly laying down SERIOUS speeds as of yet. Such issues as ambient temps, getting the track cured after repaving and some changes to this year's model of Cup Cars, make me believe that nobody wants to put their true capabilities out there...YET. Like Harvick put it....anyone for Chess? But I for one, am certainly ready to get back to racin boys!
Posted Saturday January 22, 2011, About: Hornish finds Nationwide ride
Finally! Hornish is where he belongs in the first place. He never was nor ever will be good enough to drive a Cup car. This idiotic notion that just because someone can drive in Open Wheel that he or she will automatically be able to be great in a Cup Car is pure hogwash. It's like saying that a Veternarian who treats sick livestock will one day automatically be a great human brain surgeon!
