Posted Wednesday November 24, 2010, About: KG on Shaq: A breath of ... fresh laundry
Good, funny posts all around, folks.

Why is Doc saying it doesn't "hold any water"? Isn't he the one that encouraged making "the rings touch" and stuff?

Sure, KG may be touching more than just the rings....but still....Doc should be happy.

Perhaps, that will teach him to be more clear next time. :)

Artest gave him a compliment and a dose of reality. Both facts.
I'd like to see him, a 2nd pick, do well. Guy has talent & potential.

Maybe......but Porter was trying to play defense and I think team captains didn't like it.
Posted Sunday November 21, 2010, About: Suns coach fumes after another road loss
If Nash played, games would be close, and they'd score some more points. But it's not like they could have stopped any team from scoring on them, especially with him. And on a good note, dragic had a nice game for a back-up.

I hear ya, Pimpston. Maybe, you don't like the word 'rolling' to describe them? But we have to remember they have quite a few new faces on the team. Plus, they are without their leading scorer and 20-10 guy in Boozer, AND their starting center and third leading scorer in Okur. Though still early, they are now atop their usually tough division with OKC, POR, DEN. Especially with Jefferson struggling with the adjustment, the Jazz are doing truly well in my opinion.
Posted Tuesday November 16, 2010, About: Pound-for-pound toughest NBA player?
True. And despite his stupid antics, AI was one tough little dude, pound for pound, and played with much heart and competitive fire. If only SOME of the bigger dudes and so-called stars in the game today played like that, the league would be much more fun to watch!

ahaha.....I wasn't expecting this one!
Posted Sunday November 14, 2010, About: McGrady killed Carmelo-Knicks deal
Awww....noble Randolph...trying to play defense and Stuff. lol....but you mean to tell me you can't tell if a player is trying to play defense? No wonder he ain't seeing so many minutes. lol...

Yeah, that Baron Davis **** is pissing me off. He is the highest paid player on the team, supposed to be a veteran leader. He seems to have no heart at all. He should be playing for D'Antoni, not that the Knicks deserve another mini Curry.
Posted Sunday November 14, 2010, About: Howard may not sign Orlando extension
Whooops. Didn't see your post before putting mine up. Yup, I said the same thing you did too when Anthony rumors flared up. Magic should be all over this. Anthony could even be the first scorer. I think he should be while Howard focuses on what he does Best_ block shots, defend and rebound. Terrify everyone around the paint. Howard will get his points, no doubt. If Magic manage to keep Nelson, he then can be the third scoring punch.
Posted Sunday November 14, 2010, About: Howard may not sign Orlando extension
Won't sign. And shouldn't. Put the onus on management to priotize winning by putting right pieces around him.

I said this before Carter played a game in Magic uniform that Magic wouldn't go back to Finals. They didn't. I am sorry but they likely won't again this year either.

That said, can they trade for Carmelo? Carter has an expiring contract. They still have one of the best benchs in the league. Make use of the contract and the bench pieces. Magic have a deluge of PFs. Nuggets are hurting for healthy PFs. Forget Howard's feelings for his friend, Nelson. Make every one but Howard available. I think Otis Smith should be working on this, if he isn't already. Be realistic you can't beat Celtics or even Heat. So why wait to see how your team does till the trade deadline.
Posted Sunday November 14, 2010, About: Knicks to inquire about Nash
lol, True, indeed. Nash loves D'Antoni (Not Porter). D'Antoni loves Nash. Awww...
All Knicks now need is love or Love. You choose. :)
Posted Sunday November 14, 2010, About: McGrady killed Carmelo-Knicks deal
You are on fire this morning, jgb. I am appalled by how the Jazz have not been mentioned once on these threads instead of re-hashing old crap! And every one was talking about how Heat gave that game, blah, blah, as if the Jazz got a freebie win that night. They earned it with their best player on the bench in the entire OT. They just overcame huge leads to come back and beat the top two teams in the East and a top five team in Atlanta, playing AWAY from home. Give that TEAM some credit. I don't care if the Triangle doesn't require a true PG, I would love Williams in LA. A star with no drama, no trade demands or innuendos; just-give-me-the-ball and 24 seconds on-the-clock-please type. Every team in the NBA needs a Deron Williams.

While I am at it, what the F is wrong with Baron Davis? Finally, Griffin is healthy and playing well as expected. But Davis has to stink it up like this? The dude is walking around in Santa Monica like the NBA season isn't even underway!

And Arenas finally had a good game last night. And in true Wizards fashion, they lost the game and perhaps, Wall to an injury. Some teams just don't catch a break, do they?

Sorry about your Knicks' poor start though. Haven't seen any of their games yet. What happened to Turiaf? And Randolph hasn't yet had one of those games he's capable of. You know, I say, get Zach back from Memphis for Amare for Knicks' sake. At least, he won't be killed on the boards and might actually score better and more efficiently than Amare. And I think he has an expiring contract. So that's just the Knicks type of player, no? Jk. )

I think the only change of heart some people will have about certain things in life is when they have a heart transplant.

Here is the exact quote on ESPN, "If I had to go back on it, I probably would do it a little bit different. But I'm happy with the decision I made. There's always going to be a misunderstanding. I don't know what I would [have done], but I definitely would have changed it."

If I had to? A misunderstanding? I don't know what I would have done? How contrite, indeed?
Oh, well.

Posted Monday November 01, 2010, About: The Big Miss? Shaq admits free throws hurt legacy
Wow, Ben is really bad. Shaq is no Ben Wallace for he is far more decorated and accomplished a whole lot more. However, here are a few things that Shaq can never claim, Shaq never beat Ben in NBA finals. (Damn, I hate that memory.) Ben is a four-time Defensive Player of the Year. Shaq has never even been honored on All Defensive 1st Team. This lack in Shaq's game also deals a blow in the G.C.O.A.T. conversation.

And if you become so immense a weakness that your opponent looks to you as their strategy in beating you and your whole team, then that is a monumental flaw that disqualifies you from the ranks of the G.O.A.T, in my opinion. Hint, hack-a-Shaq. Shaq is the Girthiest (thus, dominant) Center of All Time who needs to be protected and hidden on the pine in most heated moments of the battle.

Although I was enjoying the three-peat with Shaq and Kobe, I always thought the better big man was Duncan, despite the different positions played. I still do. He still is one of the best big men to ever lace them up, of course. But to say he is the Best Center of All Time, as some say, is simply disrespectful to the better Big Men of the game.
Posted Monday November 01, 2010, About: The Big Miss? Shaq admits free throws hurt legacy
What then is he paid to do, if not to put the roundball into the basket, and to prevent the opponent from doing the same?
Posted Monday November 01, 2010, About: LeBron regretting Decision, not decision
Yes, I think the part where he is bulldozing a basketball court where a few are seen playing must be how some Cavs fans felt about the way he left. To go for shock value in an ad campaign is nothing new any more, and is a global occurrence, but this is just a bad all-around commercial not only in the protrayal of its star but also from the standpoint of marketing in my humble view. Afterall, Nike doesn't always put on the best ads.

(...I thought I have been doing pretty well holding myself from posting on this stuff, but today, I give in. Sighs....)
