Posted Saturday August 09, 2008, About: Will Heat lose D-Wade to Greece?
I can only hope that D-Wade stays in the NBA and signs with the Bulls (Bit of wishful thinking). Sure you can make insane amounts of money in Europe but there's no way you will be playing the same type of competition over there than here. Sure the international teams do well during the olympics and world championships but lets face it, they don't have superstars with the likes of D-Wade or Kobe, etc. As a guy from Chicago, I hope he doesn't make the move overseas and I don't think he will either.
Posted Wednesday May 21, 2008, About: Hinrich in Bulls-Heat trade?
The Bulls should draft Rose. He gives us flexibility to deal some guys like Hinrich and Gordon. I say that we should try to explore any trade for Hinrich given his contract. If not, then we can do a sign-and-trade with Gordon and get that big-time scorer we have needed. I say that we should enter into the Carmelo sweepstakes because he would change the franchise forever! The only downside is that we would have to part with Deng as well. But Melo is clearly an upgrade over him at this point. For Carmelo, i say we trade: Gordon, Deng, Thomas, and a future pick. I also would not be opposed to trading for the Number 2 pick from Miami where Hinrich would come into play. Though it would seem rather unlikely for them to trade away their pick.
Posted Saturday February 23, 2008, About: Gordon odd man out in Chicago
I like Ben Gordon, but he is asking for way too much money. Unfortunately, we are probably gonna have to keep Hughes with his contract. I believe Gooden's contract ends after the season so he can be traded. We should give Gordon a sign-and-trade along with Gooden and Nocioni and try to get that big post presence that we have been needing. This trade has given the Bulls some flexibility and will allow them to FINALLY pull off a major deal. I also would not be opposed to offering up Gordon and maybe cash for a high end draft pick. Eric Gordon anyone? We are clearly rebuilding after we traded away all of our veterans. It would be really nice to have 2 first round selections in this draft if we are not able to get our star player.
Posted Monday February 11, 2008, About: Minnesota shopping closer
Maybe they can do a sign-and-trade. Those types of deals are primarily in the NBA, but that would be the only way that I would take him. I would not give him a 5 year deal. That is crazy for a closer. As for the Cubs, we would have to end up trading Carlos Marmol for sure in any deal for Nathan which would not be too good. We are going to be set at closer i believe. We will be having Marmol, Howry, and Wood battle it out for the closer's spot. It would be really great to have Nathan traded to the Cubs but if it's for only one year, that would be crazy. Too much would have to be given up.
Posted Friday February 01, 2008, About: Illini land junior commitment
I think that its hard to argue that the Illini would get him. I mean who would you rather play for: Missouri, Purdue, or St. Louis. Sure those are somewhat solid teams, but it would be hard to go against going to Illinois with a coach like Weber. I applaud Weber for getting him and hopefully he will snag more top recruits. Though this is only an oral commitment and I dont think that it will be final until later. (Eric Gordon made a verbal commitment to Illinois but instead went to Indiana). Maybe Weber can turn this program around like Ron Zook has for the Fightin Illini Football Team.
Posted Saturday January 26, 2008, About: Cubbies still talking trade
I hope that the Cubs make this deal. I would rather trade for Bedard himself because we already have a prolific offense as it is. But if we can get both, great. I believe that if Bedard is added to our rotation, we would have a dominant staff. Imagine having Big Z as the number 2 starter, or Bedard as the number 2. That in itself is amazing. Heck im even willing to add in Feliz Pie if thats what it takes to get these two to get here in Chicago. Look for the Cubs to put up another Division winning banner with the addition of these two.
Posted Thursday December 06, 2007, About: Cubs talking trade with Orioles
Roberts would be perfect for the Cubs at 2nd base. He would be able to lead off and we could move Soriano lower in the lineup.I would move Lee down in the order after the year he had, not that it was a terrible year though. Roberts would drive in a lot of runs and can really steal some bases. I would trade Marshall/ Gallagher with Cedeno. I dont no if its just me, but Cedeno frustrates me every season. He plays decent defense but he cant seem to hit for anything. They always rave about how good a hitter he is in the minors. I wonder if he can hit at the major league level. I would only trade Hill if it was part of sum major blockbuster deal. The Cubs always seem reluctant to trade him. I think he would interest a lot of teams but i woodnt include him in a deal for Roberts.
Posted Saturday December 01, 2007, About: Gasol unhappy with game
I agree with everyone that he wood be a good fit for the bulls. However, i would not trade for him at least until the last few days of the trade deadline. We have to show sum patience with these bulls though many hate that. I think the Bulls need to add another piece if they want to take that next step. Im not so sure that they can take that next step with their current roster. Again I could be wrong but so far, there has been nothing to prove me wrong otherwise.
Posted Tuesday November 13, 2007, About: Who'll play center field for Cubs?
I wouldn't give up more than 3 players for Crawford. Sure he is a good player but i would rather trade sumone like Hill for an even bigger player( Johan Santana anyone?). But i would give Felix Pie a chance. Oh and "A Giants Fan", u talk too much. Keep ur comments about the Cubs to yourself cuz u prolly think ur really funny. The only thing thats funny is ur profile picture if thats actually how u look.
Posted Sunday November 04, 2007, About: Kobe's bad read on Lakers
Yeah Kobe Bryant is destroying this team as well as this franchise altogether. The Lakers should not hold onto him longer than the trade deadline before he destroys this franchise even more than he already has. He wants out so let him out, preferably to the Bulls lol.
Posted Saturday November 03, 2007, About: Wood leaning toward Cubs return
I don't see why not. I mean he can be a candidate for the closer's job in the near future being that the fans have no trust in Dempster anymore. I think that he can actually be reliable if he can stay healthy.
Posted Monday October 22, 2007, About: Steinbrenners to talk to A-Rod
Hopefully the Cubs can sign him to a 300 million dollar contract to put us in debt for the next decade. But imagine how great the lineup would be. CUBBIE NATION!!!
Posted Monday October 22, 2007, About: Why Griese called own plays
Brian Griese is a true veteran who showed great poise down the stretch. Each week that has gone by allowed him to be more accustomed to the offense and to get back in the rhythm of being a starter again. This momentum will gives the Bears a huge lift as they peddle for a playoff push. Go BEARS!
Posted Sunday October 21, 2007, About: Duhon battling for Bulls' future
All winter I have been waiting for this blockbuster Chris Duhon trade. It never went through. He is a great backup PG who knows how to dish the pass. The Bulls should just keep him because he would probably be a starter on many other teams
Posted Sunday October 21, 2007, About: Portland looking to deal Frye
The Bulls should not trade Tyrus Thomas. His potential is through the roof. He is the replacement for Ben Wallace once he retires. He is the spark-plug for the Bulls. Plus he is loved by fans. He will be better than Channing Frye will ever be.
Posted Sunday October 21, 2007, About: Quiet Bryant still wants out
The Bulls missed out on the KG sweepstakes. Now when this opportunity comes along nobody wants it. But i can see why. I want Kobe but I want to get him at the right price. Which is the same predicament that was with KG. If we do make a trade for him, make it during the middle or after the season when we know where the young talent of the Bulls stands. Keep a close eye on Deng and Thomas being that they are in a lot of trade scenarios for Kobe.
Posted Sunday October 21, 2007, About: Yanks to make A-Rod offer
A-Rod should leave the Yankees after all the scrutinizing he's been through. So maybe he hasn't produced in the playoffs. He's a monster during the regular season that helped them get to the playoffs. I just want him to go to the Cubbies. But i wouldn't pay 300 million for him
Posted Sunday October 21, 2007, About: Kobe-to-Bulls trade scenarios
The Bulls are already in great shape to be a contender for the next decade with all their young talent. This depends upon whether players like Deng and Thomas can reach their full potential. If so, then the bulls will win a championship in the next coming years. Trading it all away will go against the philosophy of Paxson by drafting players with work ethic and high character. Trading for Kobe would mess that all up because you can't expect to win right away with a one player. Time is needed.
