Castellini is a total cheapskate.
Say what you will about Dusty Baker's in-game management skills, but keeping a team with a largely Triple-A offense at the .500 level involves some sort of leadership magic....
It pains me to say this, because I grew up in Georgia rooting for the Braves, but this will be an unimportant signing by an unimporant team.
Another one-time great who couldn't quit while he was ahead....

When all is said and done, you're probably going to be right. Unfortunately, Griffey probably isn't among the top 10 players of the last 10 years, and he isn't even in the top 100 right now.
An "imbecile" was defined as a "person of moderate to severe mental retardation having a mental age of from three to seven years and generally being capable of some degree of communication and performance of simple tasks under supervision."
An "idiot" was a "person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers."
I don't know what ranked below "idiot," but I think this guy has the qualifications covered....

For all his flaws, Dunn is actually a far better OBP guy than Kingman ever was. He is hardly a franchise cornerstone, but I think he would be a benefit to almost any MLB lineup. The only real argument is how much he is worth, either trade-wise or payroll-wise, or both....

You mean seven games under .500? Dunn is certainly a more valuable player right now than Griffey, and you are correct that the team would suffer from losing him. But Adam Dunn was born to be a DH, and certainly this will be his role somewhere down the road.

He has already accepted the trade, and thank goodness. Looks like Dunn might be staying for awhile, but who knows....?
Excellent work, fellas!
This wouldn't have made the weekly rag in the Alabama podunk my grandmother lived in.

Illogical. Would you say the same game was "over" when, subsequent to halftime, UNC pulled within four points with eleven minutes left in the game?
Billy Packer was a tool during this game and almost every other game he ever called. Just a completely cantankerous and miserable jackass.
