OK, so you've now proven that there are comments so ludicrous, egregious, mean spirited and just plain ****in' stupid that I will come to the defense of the sheep molesters.

Manziel had a hell of a freshman season. But the kid ain't yet 20 years old. No one - not you, not me, not Sumlin - can say with any degree of certainty how good and/or bad he will be in the future. Maybe he's the next Staubach, maybe the next Leaf.

As to the school. The culture in College Station is way weird and more than a little creepy. But, notwithstanding wisecracks about their animal husbandry program (leading to a red light district and a stockyard that are one and the same), or about the John Bockris School of Transmutation, the school is damn strong in agricultural, engineering and several of the hard sciences. Pretty good, though not great, in computer sciences. Not bad, though not particularly impressive, in business, economics and finance. I don't know (nor care) about their humanities programs.

Where are the freakin' Aggies on this thread? Come defend your own damn school. Me havin' to do it is makin' me sick.

At the risk of interjecting CFB into this CFB thread, College Station's QB for 2013 was a two-sport guy who I heard got drafted as a pitcher by one of the MLB teams. Does anyone know what he decided to do?

Losing Knox from the 2014 class didn't help. But, on paper, there s/b enough talent at all positions for 10-12 wins per season over the next few years. Assuming we don't crap the bed again. We shall see.

I talked to Diogenes (an old HS buddy - he was a freshmen my senior year), have convinced him that finding a TE for Austin would be (somewhat) more achievable quest than trying to find an honest man in these times. Wish him luck, guys!!
