Greg Luzinski was built a lot like Prince, too...Bull had three seasons with an OPS+ of over 150 by age 27. After that, he had an OPS+ of 144 in the short '81 season, but was never above 130 otherwise. Bull had a terrible year at age 33 and then was done. Let the buyer beware...
Never saw them live. Maybe they were a studio creation, then?
Everybody's going to laugh at me, but the best "big" show I ever saw was Midnight Oil in Dallas. They were outstanding. But, the only other "big" shows I saw were Black Sabbath (Dio), Aerosmith (strung out), and KISS (just a kid). I liked to see local bands in small clubs.
I see them as generally quite similar as hitters, except that Clark's Ks increased as he got older and Schmidt's went down. Clark was also hurt a lot more and not even remotely the defensive and baserunning force that Schmidt was.
Agreed...I remembering hearing "Rusty Chains" and going "Who the hell is THAT?", then buying a CD immediately when I found out. Same thing happened with "Driver 8" in college.
I liked Smashing Pumpkins, not a huge fan....I think Uncle Tupelo was the best band of the '90s, but nobody listens to me. Doesn't help that they broke up after 4 albums.
Let the buyer beware...
