First of all best game I've seen in a long time. Tennessee was "out coached" and lost to a UCLA Team that was playing their third string QB. If you can't beat a team that throws 5 interceptions then there is a problem. Tennessee has many good players but no QB at this point. Nice win for UCLA, Tennessee over rated.

During the Outside the Lines interview Coach Paterno states""I don't even own a computer" , what? I'm not sure what to believe after that statement. I also live in Pa. and the loyal fan base in starting to crack.

WR Wes Welker for the New England Patriots is 5'9'', 185lbs -not big enough? He seems to get the job done.
Posted Thursday July 24, 2008, About: Schiano's secret escape clause
East Coast Keith and I have been saying that Coach Schiano will leave and it's only a matter of time and "Money"- East Coast Kieth sure looks like Rutgers opened the door for Coach Schiano.
Posted Thursday July 24, 2008, About: Schiano's secret escape clause
Keeping it Real-totally disagree! He only turned down Miami and Michigan because he had his eyes on PSU. If you don't think that PSU hasn't had "informal" talks with Coach Schiano then I believe your fooling your self-only my thoughts.
Posted Thursday July 24, 2008, About: Schiano's secret escape clause
I stated earlier, Coach Schiano only turned down the Michigan job because he had his eyes on PSU. Rutgers cracked the door open with this stadium deal falling short-should get very intresting. PSU fans and alumni should be thrilled that they have a chance of getting Coach Schiano. Will the "great" recruits stay with rutgers?
Posted Saturday July 12, 2008, About: Rutgers cuts back stadium plan
And just when I thought the "Build it and they will come" theory was for real. Coach Schiano could have saved Michigan's Football Program from the **** slap from their Univ. Pres. Mary Sue Coleman by taking the Michigan job. President Coleman allows Michigan's Football Program to be the "darling of the media" then on the verge of being deposed- settles? What- she was going to miss a nail appoitment? Coach Schiano might be asking himself if not taking the Michigan job now was a mistake. We know how the Coach Rod promises at WVU played out-or should I say paid out. I hope this decision doesn't take away from the Rutgers Football Program but it certainly doesn't sound like it will help. Will this be enough of a reason for Coach Schiano to "visit" PSU? I wonder if Rutgers didn't just open the for him to leave?

Ugly truths about the Detroit Fress Press-your article is a day late and very poorly written. "It took Mary Sue Coleman, the school president, to end this mess", that's funny I thought she was the person that hired this "bullheaded" coach. "Coleman was on the verge of being deposed, and she obviously didn't want to be dragged into it." now that's news! Hear some news for your wanta be sports writers, I enjoy reading your articles so I can wipe my "arss" with it when I'm done because that's all it's good for boys. Hershey kisses to all!

Warden-While all college football fans will be watching the USC vs OSU show down, the game that I find just as intresting is the Mich. vs ND game. Both games are important but for obviously different reasons. If OSU wins against USC then they have paved the road to another title game-as a Mich. Fan all I can say is wow! With Coach Carr at the helm, Michigan's football program was sinking. If Coach Carr was having difficulty winning with the likes of Hennne, Hart and Mr. Long(not to mention the above players Manningham and Arrington), then this year's results would have set the program back even further under Carr's leadership. To Coach Carr's credit, he did go out in style(He saved his best game plan for Florida). With Coach Rod, the tone has been set for "were rebuilding" for a new style of offense and defense, the likes that many Michigan Fan's have never seen, yet alone in a Michigan Uniform. The program will not be measured in wins but in the progress they make over the course of the season. This is why I believe that the ND vs Mich. game is so important. For ND this is a "must" win for Charlie and CO.. Should Mich. win with a new coach and a newly implemented style of play(not to mention a make due team)-all hell will break out in ND country. This also sends a message to recruits considering ND-"the program is sinking" and big Charlie is not the answer. A win over ND will put alot of Mich. fans and alumni at ease with our new coach and style of play. I admire Coach Carr for stepping down, He put the Michigan football Program ahead of his ego. Go Blue---GO BUC's
Posted Sunday June 22, 2008, About: Buckeyes QB to Ga. Southern
As a Bucknut, it maybe easy to say good luck and hope things work out for this player. Coach Tre$$el and any informed OSU Fan(all three of them-Larry,Moe and Curly)as misguided as they normally are knows, that this should be a special season. Unlike last years fluff and buff team, this years team should be the real deal. SEC teams have your fun, because as a Michigan Fan, let me tell you the party is about over. What should make OSU Fans nervous is that the title hopes now will depend on keeping Todd Boeckman healthy. Terrell Pryor as good as he will be is not ready to step in and take this team to a National Championship. I watched TP in high school and he will be great-no doubt! But, he is not ready and would not have been ready to step in at Michigan as a freshman. Sooooo- health be with Todd and this team as they know how to get to the show, USC is waiting and little brother in AA will be watching. Should be an intresting season of college football for all-Good Luck to the Bucnuts with USC.

On another note, as a Michigan Fan, I can't wait to see the USC vs OSU game, should be a good one. How will USC match up thiis year? If Reggie lost the Heisman, who would be next in line to claim it ?

The best team on the field, the best golfer on the course and the best car on the track don't always win, you need a good coach and a good driver. In your case Charlie, might I suggest a three wood, just keep it in the fairway.
Posted Friday May 23, 2008, About: Why Paterno won't play Pitt
Why PSU won't play Pitt? Why take a chance on little brother kicking your assteroid. Joe has been in the bussiness long enough to know that beating Pitt is not worth the chance of having Pitt beat PSU. With all the talk of replacing Joe Pa, the last thing Joe needs is Pitt. Fans telling him it's time to go. Joe's glass is half empty like it or not. The question that I have is-is Pitt. still the little brother? PSU Fan's I'd say the coach is not so sure.

I agree as well, but one thing is for sure, Coach Schiano will leave the program better than he found it-job done.
Posted Sunday April 27, 2008, About: Big Ten fights BCS changes
OSU was exposed twice in the BCS game. Obviously over rated and was hammered by the SEC. As a Michigan Fan, I can attest, the Big Ten has been down but not out. The problem as I see it is that OSU is going to be(should be) a much better team this year and next year as well. If they don't win a trip to the BCS outright, then OSU is in danger of not getting voted in-due to the fact that they had two recent chances. OSU should be a great team this year and the USC game will play out big not only for the schools but their conferences as well-SEC Fans should also be intrested in this game. I would love to see a play-off format and the Big Ten is wrong to block such a move.

I love the fact that Kevin Newsome is going to Michigan. Size, speed and a GPA of 3.5, thank you! I love that wizard hat!

Marino4530-don't be confused, the last thing we want in Ann Arbor is another "vesty" punk ass coach. We are like wizard hats and snake oil. Our Michigan Man is still in training down south, don't pick the apple until it's ripe.

So much for Michigan's A.D. Martin stealing WVU's Coach. I gave Skipper Martin to much credit. Maybe Skipper Martin stole the other "80%" of their coaches MTCRUD. They certainly could not have wanted to leave WVU for Michigan. Maybe Boston College,VT, and Miami left the Big East for the same reasons that WVU's coaches left. Sounds like it's time to turn the lights off down there-keep it green.
