No, it was never Lovie's fault... Lovie is a defensive minded coach, and a good one to boot. Don't throw me in with alot of Bears fans that say that...

I like the thought that went into this blog.... It's kind of funny when you crunch up all the numbers from past Super Bowls. However, you look at the game and the matchup.... Once Green Bay beat the Bears, I had said that if the Jets had won, the Packers would lose to their stout pass defense and exotic blitz packages, because Green Bay simply just doesnt run the ball well.... On the other hand, now that they are playing Pittsburg, they will win.... This is because you are taking away Pittsburgs best ability, run stop. I think that their secondary is insuperior, especially with Polomalu a little bit limpy. The Packers are one of the few teams in the league that can have a 70/30 pass to run ratio and still win. I like the Packers, 24-20.

Well, my point was that if the bears hadnt traded away their 1st rd picks from 09 and 10, they would have had to draft a qb in the early rounds of the draft. You also have to think if they had a chance to get a player even close to a franchise quarterback. They had the 18th pick in 09', which would have landed them Pat White since Stafford and Freeman were already drafted by that time. Again, that is the Pat White on the Dolphins who couldn't even start over Hanie or Pennington.... In the 10' draft, they wouldve had the 11th pick, which would have led to a choice of Tim Tebow or Jimmy Clausen with Bradford off the board.... Those are not my idea of franchise qb's, which makes the trade look that much better.
