anyone who thinks you can "fix" the Cubs fails to recognize the ugly truth - it does not, has not, and will not ever matter to the organization if they win a championship. the lemming-like Cub fans will show up and embrace whatever is on the field, filling the pockets of all involved without the pressure of performing beyond mediocrity. If I can pocket millions and not have to exert myself - why bother? The absolutely worst field in the majors (Wrigley's a bigger sewer than old Comiskey ever was) and ticket prices rise every year - you get what you pay for Cub fans - and you've been paying for this for years - a few competitive glimmers and you still believe, no matter what the reality is.
No team goes to Wrigley worrying about the Cubs - deal with it.
"my conditioning. Getting my wind right. You have to be able to run in this offense." .... Is there an offense in the NFL where a WR doesn't have to run? Sheesh....
They went from the WORST synthetic field in the world (remember the green concrete?) to the next to worst natural grass field (I'm looking at you, Pittsburgh - lol) Why they can't see the light and go to the pro-turf fields is beyond me. Even high schools are installing the stuff - low maintenance, high traffic resistant and lower costs over the course of the life of the rug. Just another example of the Bears' front office pinching pennies and cashing revenue checks....
